Use Unreal Engine 5's render engine for DAZ; No more long render times, complete renders in seconds.

Unreal Engine 5 has a new technology called Lumen.  It basically does what NVDIA IRAY does, but in real time.  So instead of waiting 30-45 minutes for NVIDIA IRAY to do it's thing, the same scene can be rendered in 1 second using Unreal Engine 5's Lumen technology.

Please add this and get it done within 6 months. Don't waste time. Thank you.

This scene would take DAZ Studio IRAY like a few minutes to render, but in Unreal Engine 5; using Lumen, it only takes 1 second.

  • If UE5 was an rendering alternative to IRay, that would provide a solution for those with Radeon Cards.  I wonder if UE5's and Iray's materials are compatible?

I here you both. I would prefer to use DAZ studio to animate, but 4.20 is behaving very erratically with keyframes. DAZ studio's lack of a reliable timeline is forcing me to learn UE5. I don't want to.

Hi there, does it render on Local or online?

Can you render while doing another task in Daz studio?

What are the daz settings (is there a direct bridge?

That is incredible and a absolute game changer in any way possible. Of course requires a modern rtx/rx card for the new features.

p.s. I wonder how long will it take for eevee to support the hardware raytracing. That will be a game changer for blender as well.

Note that hardware ray-tracing is not a target for the 3.0 release but one of the motivations for the overhaul.

Thanks Padone but you do not answer my question. How does it works actualy? Do you have to import your scene in Unreal and then you can render right away?

I didn't mean to reply your questions. Anyway yes there's a bridge but you better ask on the UE forum.
