Did anyone else's Daz+ subscription renew despite not being marked as "recurring"?

I already have Daz+ for the next year and have checked many times to make sure it was not marked as "recurring" in my account either on Daz or PayPal, including a few days ago, before my subscription was supposed to renew. I was already charged full price automatically once and learned quickly. I just received a notification that Daz withdrew $70 from my bank account. I went to check my account and saw that it had indeed renewed. My account does not have "recurring" checked off.

Has this happened to anyone else? Do I have any hope at all of getting a refund? The last time this happened, they said I wasn't eligible for a refund because the system had automatically checked off "recurring" and it was my fault for not noticing it. This time, though, I made sure that wasn't the case. I checked and double-checked that my subscription was not going to automatically renew. I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that the system apparently thinks I should just be stuck with a perpetually renewing full price Daz+ subscription.

I need every penny right now... sick to my stomach over this.

This needs a ticket with screenshots.

Edit: you can also dispute with PayPal which is pretty straightforward.

Thank you, I'll submit one. I was concerned opening a dispute with PayPal would get my account here banned--that wouldn't happen?

    I appreciate your time.

It might be well to open a ticket with Daz first, so that they know what is happening, but if it is a PayPal issue it should be down to PayPal to sort out

I had to dispute once and it was taken care of pretty quickly as I recall.

  • Thank you both so much. I'm breathing a little more easily now!
