Whether it require v4 shape and m4 shape for genesis2 male and female to transfer v4 and m4 morphs t

I found that GenX2 is on sale now. If GenX can transfer legacy gen4 figures to genesis, does that mean this product is useless because GenX2 can transfer the shapes to genesis.

And I am wondering whether it require v4 shape and m4 shape for genesis2 male and female to transfer v4 and m4 morphs to genesis2?

What you need is this to transfer morphs between Genesis versions : http://www.daz3d.com/genx2-addon-for-genesis-2

This add-on extends Genesis Generation X2 (GenX2) to the world of Genesis 2. Now, it's possible to transfer morphs from Genesis and supported Poser figures to Genesis 2 Male and Female. In addition, morphs may be transferred from Genesis 2 to Genesis or between the Male and Female version of Genesis 2. The latter includes HD morphs and is done without re-calculation.

Support is included for V4, M4 and K4 as standard as stated below.

The GenX2 plugin includes support for the generation 4 Poser figures (Victoria 4, Michael 4, and Kids 4) as well as for Genesis (version 1). Further figures are supported by add-ons sold separately. To transfer morphs from or to Genesis 2, the GenX2 AddOn for Genesis 2 is required.

I had got the v4 and m4 shapes for genesis,Gen 3 Iconic Shapes for Genesis, and gen4 shapes bundle for genesis a long time ago. If I had known of GenX2 earlier, that would save me a lot.

I had got the v4 and m4 shapes for genesis,Gen 3 Iconic Shapes for Genesis, and gen4 shapes bundle for genesis a long time ago. If I had known of GenX2 earlier, that would save me a lot.

Actually you will need those shapes. If you look at the threads for GenX, the transfer would convert the shapes on the basis of genesis, however for the best look, you will need to add in that V4 or M4 shape.
