Lilith 6 body morph issues

I don't know if anyone else has come across this, but the Lilith 6 body morph on my computer isn't posing as it used to. Having said that, it's been a while since I've used Lilith 6.

The problem is that her arms wrinkle and crease around the shoulders (it looks like there's something living under her skin), and her arms are clipping her body (I've attached images, just incase I'm not explaining it well).

I've tried converting her, but the issue is being carried over to G8F.

I have no idea where to start when it comes to trying to correct this (if it can be corrected).

I'm trying to get back to using Studio, but all I seem to get is very frustrating hurdles being thrown in my way. :(

I'm using 4.16.

EDIT: Just tried uninstalling and reinstalling character/morphs, it hasn't made a difference.

I would suggest loading the default lilith 6 and see if the problem is there, if not, it could be from the conversion since those can be hit or miss. You could also try loading the converted lilith 6 and then in the parameters tab go to the top - "currently used" section to see what morphs are loaded (make sure you have show hidden folders on)

I don't have her or use G2 much, so can't test.

I can't find the poses that I was using when I first found this problem. But yes, it looks like there's a problem with the default, too.

I've just looked at the hidden morphs. There are a lot of CTRRIG Delta dials (red - all locked). But Aiko 6 has them too, so I guess every figure has them. Apart from that, nothing else is dialled in.

Certain poses can cause mesh distortions, at least with G8, but I don't know it that's the problem here.

Here's a shot of "Currently Used" morphs from the non-HQ version of Lilith 6, I'm not seeing anything red/locked here, neither with Aiko 6.

I haven't got anything like that in my morph parameters section at all.

I've added a screenshot of my Currently Used morphs with Lilith 6 loaded. There's something like 1440 of those red ctrlrig morphs in folders for Genesis, G2F, and G2M.

Genesis 3 and 8 are unaffected.

That's very weird! Sorry that happened to you, N-Rarts. I've not encountered that with Lilith 6. I just checked to be sure. I'm using 4.15026 Public Build. That's not 4.16, but it's a lot newer than 4.10 that I've been using.

Thanks, and thank you for checking that out.

I've been doing some investigating on my laptop, and I think there's a problem with (at least one of) Lilith 6's JCMs. I haven't worked with JCMs, but whatever it is, it's either not working as it should, become corrupted, or it's missing. I've attached a picture to show the issue that I've found on my laptop (it's pretty similar to the issue that I originally posted about).

Just checked again, I think the greyed out dials in my screenshot must be related to a pose (I recall I applied one to check for distortions), now that I check again with Lilith loaded in zero position they are not there anymore.  But the rest are still there.  So strange that you don't have them.

OK, just saw you said "Parameters", I was looking under "Shapes".

Under Parameters I have a lot of red dials as well, here's a screenshot of the whole list.

That's it. They're under a file called "Control Rig".

I was just looking at a posed Lilith 6. There are active dials for Giselle 6, and I don't even own her. frown

I'm probably going to be better off deleting everything, and starting over... Again (for the third time in two years).

surprise That's a lot of starting over! If you do that, I sincerely hope 3rd time is the charm for you. angel

There were several products released for G2 that were supposed to correct joint flexing. However these products could cause problems, especially if multiple joint controlling products were installed, they could conflict with each other. These controllers kick in automatically with poses.

If you can find these and uninstall them, you might be able to fix it. My Genesis 2 runtime got pretty messed up by these joint control products. A real freakin pain.

Another cause is if another character morph is conflicting with Lilith and causing problems.

So yeah, it probably is some kind of install issue, though it may not be your fault. You may see some errors in your log file that point you at the problem, and you might be able to get rid of the data files in question. I don't think you need to take the nuclear option just yet, and even in the worst case you could just delete the Genesis 2 female data folder rather than everything.

Thanks ^^ But with my luck, if I do, I doubt it will be. ^^'

The funny thing is, I bought one of those joint products to try and fix this issue.

Okay. I'll clear out the G2F data. But (from there), I'll only restore the stuff that I use the most (so that will be three characters).

UPDATE: Welp. I've deleted something, and it seems to have made the problem worse... Except, it's only affecting one armpit! One of those thing that was deleted was Mystic Giselle. Other stuff got deleted too, but I have no idea what else it could've been.  :/

You don't have to read this, it's just a small rant. **I think I'm slowly losing interest in Daz. Except it's not a new thing, it's been bugging me since the HDD was replaced. It's just the feeling has got worse since in the past few months. Crap computer, no way of upgrading or fixing it (especially now that the income has been slashed). I want to make content, but the specs aren't good enough on my laptop to run decent programs... I just feel like I'm drowning, and the feeling is getting pretty tedious.**

I feel your pain! I was in that exact situation with my old desktop until I finally assembled funds to build a new computer. Now, much better! But it really was about the money. crying
