Do genesis 8 products work on genesis 8.1 figures. like if i purchase a skin texture shader add on that is made for genesis 8 males and females will it work on genesis 8.1 males and females?

    Most products for G8 will work on G8.1 directly, some may require a bit of adjustment. For example if they use hierarchical presets you will need to resave those as regular presets first.

    Products that use scripts also may not work on 8.1 if they were made for 8.

    I don't want to start messing with scripts or converting presets so I avoid buying anything which only states 8.1 compatibility. I keep seeing these threads where a similar question is asked and none of the answer convince me to start buying anything 8.1. I don't have any 8.1 characters, clothes or morphs so it is much like the long time it took me to migrate from G3 to G8. And then there's reverse compatibility which is another question.
