Applying multiple poses while maintaining XYZ Position
Please, bear with me as I attempt to explain. I may not have the vocabulary to describe what I am experiencing:
I am attempting to apply multiple poses to a character who should be stationary (in relation to XYZ location). As I add each pose, the character changes position. In this particular case, the character moves randomly on the X translate. How do I apply a new pose without moving the character's position?
Additional info: An odd thing happens when the character moves position. I cannot simply type in the same coordinates to put the character back in the same place. For example, my character is at -160, 0, 280. After applying a new pose, the character moves X -40. When I attempt to put the character back at the original coordinates, They display the same location but the character has moved. Images attached to clarify, hopefully.

The XYZ Transforms parameters (Translation, Rotation, Scale) can be applied to the "root" of your character AND to the Hip bone.
Some of your poses may have non-zero values for the Hip bone.
X and Z Translation and Y rotation values should be zeroed for standalone poses.
When you save a pose preset, you should check that the Hip bone's X and Z Translation and Y rotation values are zeroed and better not save the General Translations (except the Scale if the pose is intended for a specific scaled character).
Thank you for your reply. I apologize if I am slow on the uptake here. Ok, to see if I am picking up what you're putting down:
When a pose gets saved (Pose Preset) ensure that the translations are zeroed so the character doesn't move to whatever random translation. Good tip!
After saving a pose, the transformations will zero.
Am I understanding that?
So, in the examples I posted, I am using https://www.daz3d.com/beach-party-poses-for-genesis-8 Pose 06B (modified) and Pose 07A. I have moved my character into position and then I apply Pose "06B." I want to keep my character in that exact position but change then apply Pose "07A" (i.e the character uncrosses her arms and legs) but does not alter her position. The problem I am experiencing is that (apparently) within the pose preset created by FeralFey, there is a -40X translation baked in. And this is preventing me from having a stationary character? Is that correct? And I might just have to 'eyeball' her back into position for the second pose and render.
You got it!
You can always re-save the problematic poses presets with the options you prefer!
Have a nice day!
