DIM4 Cyborg for Genesis 8.1 Males

I do not own any G8.1 figures, so I'm trying to figure out if the DIM4 Cyborg works with Genesis 8 Male figures.

It states:

"This product is compatible with all Genesis 8 and 8.1 characters in the body of Genesis 8.1 Male."

What does that mean?

The product title and the Compatabile Figures info suggest it's only for 8.1 Male.

    I think it means you have to start out with the Genesis 8.1 male base, and from that base you can dial in any Genesis 8 male you want.

    Gen 8 and 8.1 share the self morphs (so self characters).
    So, for example, if you want to have a Underbelly 8 (https://www.daz3d.com/underbelly-8) with cyborg body you must:

    1. Load a G8.1M (not 8)
    2. Apply Underbelly Morph to G8.1M
    3. Apply Underbelly materials to G8.1M
    4. Apply DIM4 Cyborg

    So you have to start always from a G8.1M and trasform into a G8M character, you can't load default Actor Underbelly because it's a Gen 8 character.

    Yes, exactly what Kainjy said. I've purchased very few G8.1 characters, but was quick to adopt G8.1 because I could use G8.1 exactly as described in their post. I very rarely use G8 now, unless I'm doing something with morphs or G3/G8 UV materials.

    That is odd, there is a quick fix to get the G8 expressions to work and I have yet to find a G8 morph that doesn't work on 8.1. For me, all I have used so far is compatible with 8.1

    The few morphs that I tried did not work. Of the top of my head I remember the Musculature HD Morphs for Genesis 8 Male not working. In fact, they had not effect at all on 8.1 unless I am missing something.

    Long story short I invested way too much money on the G8 ecosphere, so it is a personal choice of mine to avoid G8.1. I think the figures look great, but there is just not enough reason to justify the expense for me.

    The short answer is to go to delete the files that begin with alias_ in the 

    \Data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female 8_1\Morphs\Daz 3D\Base Pose Head\"

    \Data\DAZ 3D\Genesis 8\Female 8_1\Morphs\Daz 3D\Expressions\"
