Getting my effects to work

For some reason, after I updated my Daz 3D Studio from the 4.6 to 4.7, I can't get my Fantasy and Scifi Effects to work right. http://www.daz3d.com/fantasy-and-sci-fi-effects I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, but it just keeps giving me an error message. Can someone give me some advice to fix this or is it something that I will have to deal with until the next update of Daz Studio??

    It just says, "An error occurred while reading this file."

    That sounds as if the file you are trying to load is a material setting, and you don't have the model it goes with selected. I believe you need to load the base effect model (Poser Formats>My DAZ 3D Library>Figure>Some folder, or Poser Formats>My DAZ 3D Library>Figure>Props>Some folder), make sure it is selected, then apply the DAZ Studio material settings.

    Sorry to say, but those old material files are totally busted.

    They desperately need a fix/update.

    The Poser ones don't work in Studio because of the lack of diffuse color, and the Studio ones are outdated and simply do nothing when you apply them.
