Need help finding a female character

vonHobovonHobo Posts: 1,700

I just purchased the Nix 8 character and I'm really impressed with the eye realism.

See attached. Specifically the area under the eye that has more volume and makes it more realistic.

I have about 20 female figures and they all have flat, smooth, under-eye skin. It looks artificial to me.

So I'm about to look through close to a thousand female figures for Genesis 8 in the DAZ shop looking for a similar characteristic to Nix 8 eyes, but I thought I would ask here if anyone knows of any G8 Figure that has realistic eyes as I've described.

I know the G8.1 figure have improved on this, that's why I am so impressed with Nix 8 to see this on a G8 character.

I'm not ready to switch to G8.1 yet. So just need a G8 female to match Nix 8 eye realism.

Please help. :)

You won't find a whole lot.  This is down to texture, though, and has nothing to do with G8.1.  Many models have a little shading below the eye, like Jessi HD for Josephene, but there aren't a lot except horror-type figures that have shadows like Nix.  How it ends up looking also has a lot to do with lighting.

Are you talking about the skin texture details, or the actual under-eye bulge of the mesh/shape?

    The under eye bulge.

There are many morph packs that do this, including the Genesis 8 Female Head Morphs

Thank you. I have tried those morphs and they only change the under eye bulge slightly. And if you dial it up it looks unnatural to me.

So I would really prefer a couple out-of-the-box characters that already have this quality.

I found one called Carina HD for Robin 8, but I just purchased Carina w/o Robyn. Hope it looks nice.

Carina HD for Robyn8 is nice, but loading the figure gives the following error:

    Cannot find /textures/Emrys/Carina/CarinaEyesB_1006.jpg

    Is that because I don't own Robyn8?

Thanks so much! I was looking for an adult character though, as a partner in crime to Nix.

I'm trying Ginny HD for Genesis 8/8.1 now. If that doesn't work then I'm giving up and sticking to Carina HD with the file load errors. Ugh.

This is what I settled on.

    Nix and Ginny

Not much else out there that I could find.

I just wish that Ginny didn't look like Sophia Loren so much! Oh well.

In the G8F & G8M Head Morph packs from DAZ Originals the undereye puffiness is there. I think the morphs is called "Lower Eyelid Puffiness". There is also that for the upper eyelid. Also the eyelids have morphs for thickness too in those 2 products.

Thank you. I was also using Eyelids Lower Crease HD which adds a bit.
