Does Anyone Know How to use LOOK AT MY HAIR in Ape World 2?

fred mertzfred mertz Posts: 25

The Ape World 2 gorilla characters come with two "actors" marked "GorillaAlbLAMH-CHR" and "GorillaLAMH-CHR"

I have Look at my Hair Player 1.5.15 and Look at my Hair 1.0 (although this I can't understand at all). Can someone PLEASE explain how I get the LAMH to work on Ape World?

Thanks in advance.

I have the up-to-date LAMH player installed, but these are .duf files, not .lamh files, so the player doesn't seem to help at all.

What happens when you load one of the duf files? Does the Gorilla appear in the viewport at all?

In theory, you should see the gorilla figure with bright green guide-hairs sticking out from the skin. Only when you render are these guide hairs converted to the fluffy fur you see in the promo pictures. I've shown the initial load state I get, and another image showing a spot-rendered part.

If you are getting something different in your viewport, could you give a screen print please?

How frustrating to see it is working for you. I was a master of Daz3 but I am a dolt in Daz 4. The program is SO hard to get working properly.
This is what I see when I load the duf file.

Ah, I didn't try the Albino version, only the other one - it's just possible that there's a difference. I'm out on my laptop at present (no DAZ Studio there) so won't be able to try the Albino Gorilla for a while. I imagine you have tried both though? (If not, please try the other Actor).
One thing struck me re-reading your posts - did you say you had both LAMH 1.0 and LAMH Player installed? I seem to recall reading a while ago that you should only have one installed at once. Could you maybe try uninstalling them both then reinstalling just the player. There's a very long thread in the commercial forum and the information is somewhere in there.

Excellent point. I'll remove and reinstall just the player.

Just got in after a long day out - you're very welcome, glad I could help (and it was only an afterthought too!)
