I've completed about 160 pages of my graphic novel NOCTURNES http://avu4u.com/nocturnes.html on my old 8 core Mac Pro. Recently I've purchased a new maxed out 12 core Mac Pro. To say the least its a lot faster. I'm trying to transfer all of my Daz Studio 4.7.0.12 Edition (64-bit) files that I've used to make NOCTURNES from my 8 core Mac Pro OS 10.6.8 to my new 12 core Mac Pro 10.10.2. I'm having trouble once I load my files into Daz Studio 4.7.0.12 Edition (64-bit) into my 12 Core Mac Pro.

I'm having problems. The surface maps don't work. All of my characters are these blocky looking 3d files in ViewPort. Any one have any ideas about how I can get my NOCTURNES files loaded into my new MacPro to work? The files I have for NOCTURNES add up to more than 50 gigs of data.

Are you talking about .duf files for scenes? You should be able to put them anywhere you like and access them, but maybe you can explain more about how you have your files set up. Do you basically have the same file structure you had before?

This is usually caused by the DUF file not having access to the 'data' folder. You should be getting error messages, wither as a pop-up, or in Help > Troubleshooting > View Log File.

You need to have the 'data' folder from your old machine, available on the new machine, not just the content.
