Shut Down & Start Up Problem

I am using the beta version, when I shut down, often DazStudio won't start up again unless I reboot my computer.

Can I cure this by changing a setting?

I can't recall how to get a list of running tasks on a Mac, but make sure that DS has actually closed. If it hasn't there may be a problem with a plug-in that could be locking it.

You can go to your Utilities folder and run Activity Monitor.

Yes, there is a problem here,Daz is using 99% of CPU the whole time!

Does that happen if you just load DS and immediately quit? If not, how about loading DS, creating a primitive, and quitting? Then load, create primitive, render and quit?

It is showing 370% cpu running, 0% when I quit, even after just d/l an update.

Should I uninstall & reinstall, or something else?

Switched off real time protection antivirus, still the same problem.

This morning, after a night with Daz running, but nothing loaded, there was no problem, but loaded one item and 370% cpu again. (I dont understand 370% cpu!)

So does it stay in the task list after you quit or not? I'm a little confused by the figures you give (and I don't know what 370% CPU could mean - are you sure it isn't counting each core as 100%, if you have a four core CPU that would be all but a bit of all four cores).

It goes from task list after quit.

100% is per core, 400% is four cores at 100% each

I guess that makes sense, but no progress with the original problem.

When you quit DAZ Studio, does it take a while for it to quit? I know it sometimes takes while for DS to clean-up memory usage, but this has been improved since 4.6 (where it could take 30 minutes when you quit after you had a huge scene loaded).

When you try to start it again, what does actually happen?

    Its quite quick, normal.

Since last here I have reformatted my hard drive and restored it because of other problems, but Daz3d still the same.
