Where you want to work on a project, yet the project feels too much like work? And you find yourself making excuses like I need to Do Laundry or Mow The lawn to stall on working on said project?

I usually don't try to force myself when I get like this, as I'm usually not happy with the results and have to redo it anyways, but I'm in one of those moods now.

Constantly, with my webcomic. Which is why I have a second webcomic and constantly do other random stuff that I post on Deviantart and here. ;)

I like rendering a lot, but trying to do things to spec feels like work sometimes.

Well, this weekend... Tier 1 Cleaning was done Saturday, Tier 2 was started yesterday, If I make it to Tier 3 cleaning, I'm just going to give up.

    I guess I should explain:

Tier 1 cleaning: The basics: Laundry, Dishes, Floors Swept, The things you do so if you have unexpected company, your not embarrassed by the mess.
Tier 2 Cleaning: The every couple months or even once a year stuff: Washing Windows, Cleaning the fridge, dusting the hidden places, organizing your sock drawer, going through the closets.... Stuff not needed often.
Tier 3 cleaning: These are the ones no-one wants to do, such as cleaning the Attic, Basement, Garage.

If I end up in the Attic, then I guess I'll close out Daz and say I'm not going to get anything done today.

This happens a lot for me - I usually just start loading random characters and pieces/parts and then just play with props/environments until I get something that looks pretty good. I also try to do or learn something new/practice with lights or post work. Sometimes it's a waste of time and sometimes I end up with something I really like.

Sometimes all it takes is sitting down with a blank mind and begin loading...

My problem is, when I have the time to work in Daz, I psych myself out thinking it's too much work... I don't have enough time to work on it... or some other stupid excuse, even though when I do start, I totally love it! What I hate the most is I get most of my creative urges when I can't work on anyting because I'm at work, or out doing errands or something else that makes it impossible to scratch the itch!

    My brain hates me. :(

A wise decision, the only time it actually makes sense to force yourself to continue is if you are "on a roll" (getting results, not a buttered roll with a slice of cheddar on the side).
Then at those times, it makes sense to finish what you started or keep pushing on, because you've got a flow going and stuff is happening... But when the mojo goes, it's often a bad idea to push too far... The fun goes out of it and nothing magical ever happens (unless you have a leprechaun or pixie infestation... Then sometimes).

Well, what part of it seems like work? You're getting hit in the face with the pie, instead of picking a piece of it that you like. If you enjoy lighting the most, work on that. If you like kit-bashing outfits, do that. Etc. If you're in a funk, stay away from whatever you find most challenging and go with the flow on what you do best or enjoy the most (and those aren't necessarily the same thing.)

Doing something might lead to an inspiration. Look at something you've already done in the past and get a bit of "yes!" going with that. :)
