Vault Item Top Picks

Might be a good idea to launch an ongoing thread alerting fellow Dazzers to great deals currently headed to the "Vault."

For instance, today in $2 vault picks, the Super Suit Super Hero Content Bundle is up for sale:

This bundle contains (get ready): Stonemason's Dark Alley 2k9, Industrial 2k9, and best of all his Back Alley 2k9, which all these years later still makes a perfect adjunct to his Urban Sprawl series. You also get two military vehicles, the M2A2 Bradley ODS and the M1025 HMMWV HUMVEE.  The Firearm Pack is also included in the mix.  And lastly, though it is not included on the store page, I'm fairly certain that this bundle also includes the UH60 Blackhawk Helicopter, which individually is no longer available in the store. (I say fairly certain because when I picked up this bundle previously two years ago, the UH60 was not listed on the page back then either -- but did appear in my Product Library, available for download, after I purchased the bundle.)

    Apparently, this bundle was a weekly freebie in 2018, because I got it for free back then. At $2, it's still a good deal for those who missed out.

    Hard to recommend anything in the vault sale to new users since it's all older items. but if you are needing content and on a budget, go for it. Other than converting clothing to newer generations, I haven't used anything pre genesis 2 in years

    It does not appear to me that items in recent Vault Sales have actually entered The Vault - At least none that I've acquired. Again, that's not a complaint. It's still a good way to get older items - Sometimes not really *that* old - At an attractive discount.

    Correction, then -- I got this bundle four years ago.  Apparently you and I picked this up as a freebie around the same time.  What a steal!

    Very nice idea, this thread, thanks for alerting me to the Superhero Bundle. Yes, the helicopter is indeed included, it's in my library after buying the bundle. Neat!

    my pickings are slim since I already own most,

    Cloudflare bad gateway hosed me sharing links so not trying to grab more again but the tree and the mushrooms are quite handy to have to fill out scenes

    Although it works fine in DS 3, unfortunately because of the welded mesh that was used the helicopter doors do not open properly in DS 4. See this thread for a discussion and possible workaround.:

    Thankyou @zombiewhacker!

    I also wanted to mention, that the Elven Nymph outfit includes a fantasy style cello and bow. As we don't have that many fantasy instruments at DAZ Shop, IMO it shouldn't go to the vault...

    I was just looking at that set myself, and was thinking that I need to check for a little stretch in this month's budget. While the set may be for an old figure, the props can be easily updated with iRay shaders.
