Saiyaness releases are getting almost as rare as righteous men, but the wait is over! Tarni's a pale girl, her Saiyaness' first 8.1 offering, and I can't wait to see what dark dealings she gets herself into. I'm stuck in a project right now; so, I probably won't be able to get a render out soon. But I hope someone will smile on us and grace the forum with their own interpretations of Tarni.

    Yes! I was so excited to see a new character from my favourite PA. I bought Tarni as soon as I saw her. She renders ok in Daz, I'm yet to get her over to Blender. If I can set up a good render at breakfast I'll try post something tomorrow

    The most conventionally pretty Saiyaness character yet, I would say. I don't know if there's much change in detail or quality moving from her 8.0 to 8.1 characters, but that only speaks to previous awesomeness. There's a more painterly quaility to her characters I've enjoyed over photorealism and lots of pores!

    The first thingie I noticed is the description says requires Genesis 8 Head and Body Morphs, but It's not coming up as *required* on the version of the product page I can see.

    Tarni out of the box with morphs applied, except the third picture down where they're dialled out

    Makeup ->

    No Makeup ->

    No make-up, No morphs -> (I think I found all the morphs to dial back to zero - is there an easy way to see what's applied other than just scrolling through?)

    Default lights:

    Click n Render Lighting kit (These lights do not work well with her, she's more shiny than a typical Daz Original character):

    If she were 8 or 8.1 I'd snap her up immediately. I really like the new character and wonder what tweaks or just lighting is being used in the promos as the skin there looks especially life-like. I see this one making its way to my library along side her others soon :)

    What am I missing here? I really don't see anything that sets this character apart from the hundreds of other similar characters in the store. Yet another pretty, young white woman with an almost stock-standard body shape and face. That said, I rarely buy characters for the shape and more often for the skin but, again, I don't see anything out of the ordinary with the skin either.

    I do have several Saiyaness characters from G3 days which were quite adventurous and different. This one does not stand out at all.

    I have to agree, but everyone has their own tastes  Hopefully the next one will appeal more to me and others. Glad to see a new character from them though!

    She is attractive, but I think she has a pretty distinctive look and wouldn't categorize her as "just another pretty white girl".

    She caught my eyes and I just had to get her.

    She is very beautiful and so different from so many other characters in the Store.

    I'm a fan of Saiyaness skin, so I bought her because she is the first G8.1 offering. I'm still trying to find a way to like the new skin shader, so I'm hoping this skin will help me do that.

    Have you tried Jada? I think her skin is examplary.

    I've been thinking about making a few characters to sell, and my fear is that if I put up new characters that use the Uber shader, they won't be well received simply for the fact that so many folks out there are of the belief that the Uber shader is somehow not as good as the PBR Skin shader (I still hate that name).

I was only using 8.1 skins thinking I was moving forward, and not using G8 skins because I wanted to stick with what was supposed to be an advancement, but just not seeing it.  Makes me wonder how many G8 only skins I have missed out on, just buying 8.1 characters.
