Okay, the qualifier is that we BUY?  Because I've worked in the film industry for over thirty years and there's a ton of the stuff that's just been given to me... posters for films I worked on, animation cels w/ backgrounds, comic art, production illustrations, etc.  But if purchasing it is part of the definition, then I have a couple of hundred movie posters and lobby cards for various films from around the world, with my current favs being an original Italian poster for THEY CALL ME TRINITY, one for the JAWS knock-off GRIZZLY, mainly because it's signed by the artist, Neal Adams, and a bunch of classic scifi and fantasy films.  And lately I've also seriously started buying original illustration art from old books and magazines, primarily pulp, men's adventure, and fantasy, plus some signed, limited edition prints and glicees.

My home office is chockful of artwork my kids made through their grade school and high school years. Priceless for me.  And yes I did buy them. It how the kids got their spending money.

    Now THAT is cool.

My daughter-in-law decorated my walls with prints as I was just too slow to get around to it. Probably not what I would have chosen but the do the decorative job.

My preferences in art would not be suitable for lounge decor, I think. My favourite artist is (was) Lucien Freud and many of his works would be removed from this thread by the moderators if I posted them here. I do like many of the Impressionists though so I guess I could hang a few of those prints around my little flat.

You should take a look at Julien Wolga on DeviantArt, his work is basically like cartoon fantasy Lucien Freud.

I'd say Wolga's a lot closer to Brian Froud in style.  It's great stuff, don't get me wrong, but Lucien Freud's vibe always feels to me as if he'd started with very realistically painted plasticine figures that  sat out in the sun too long as models and then tried to capture that look via light, shadow and color, whereas Wolga's stuff is more anatomically symetrical and emphasizes line work.

Oh yeah, I have a couple of Soryama pieces that would absolutely fry their brains if I posted images. :)  Sometimes I really wonder how interested in art anyone at corporate DAZ really is given the restrictions they slap on everything, and what they would do if they got the job of curating a real art museum's galleries.

A Squirrel Calendar? Is that a Julian calendar printed on flattened squirrels, or Squirrelian calendar printed on regular paper?

Sorry if the question is a little nuts.

Ah, I assumed it was a calendar for squirrels - so they know when the nut season is due to begin?

Lol, printed on flattened squirrels :-O ?

Can't feed them anymore, at least for a while, since a mouse chose to dig her apt. very close to the squirrel feeding place :-(

So, yeah such a nut calendar would come in handy for those poor little fellas...

My mom got rats for feeding the squirrels, now she's feeding bleach to them (the rats) in porridge and bread - Hasn't hurt their appetite.

Plates with cats on them. Photos of our cats (all deceased now). A few mirrors. Metal wall art. Stuff that I've given my Mum for Mother's Day (Best Mum certificates/awards). A nice print of a painting in the stairway (The Rain It Raineth Everyday):

The Rain It Raineth Every Day

In my room, pictures of a character called Vergil (heart), from a game called Devil May Cry. Posters for Devil May Cry 4, Legacy of Kain: Defiance (ruined by the damp), and Hello Kitty. A cat calendar. A couple of game discs (they have pictures for labels). Artwork of a couple of my OCs. Renders of my Devil May Cry OC. A flag from when my football/soccer team reached a cup final (played at Wembley) back in 2007. And a couple of signs which say, "Your OCD is B*****ks" (thanks to the way the world is now, they don't work anymore).

(Apologies in regards to the size of the image),

Love this. Such atmosphere. It really appeals to my personal tastes. I also appreciate the dedication of the artist who sat there in the rain to capture this.

Here is the series of three florals by Erwin Mayr.  I show the whole image and a close up of details in each image.  The images have been partially corrected in Photoshop for perspective distortion from the original photograph.

The detail area is full sized pixels from the original photo(i.e. no reduction or magnification, just perspective corrections and JPG artifacts).  These published images are JPG at quality 60 so better than many but not as sharp as the original PSD image.  I love the detail in the lace and embroidery and fringe, bricks, water drops on the fruit.  I love these images.  And these are just lithographs, his original paintings have a shine to them that sparkle in all the right places.

@Fauvist "Those are really incredible."  Yeah, I've always thought so.  It's a shame they aren't worth a fortune that I could redeem when I need to pay the ferryman to cross the river Styx.  Erwin only painted for a few years and produced relatively few paintings overall.  His florals were his bread and butter, and there were many.  In addition to Erwin's gallery displays, Max organized a one man show for him at our home in downtown Washington, DC in 1991.  Large turnout of people tramping through our apartment and the enclosed backyard of the building.  Numerous easels and stands in the yard displaying lots of his florals.  Champagne flowing, and a good time was had by all.   His commissioned portraits were $$$$$, so the one he'd painted of Max and gifted to us was much appreciated.  The event was also the unveiling of Max's portrait titled "The Snow Prince".

But because he only painted for a few years, there are relatively few of his works, all that's needed now is to create a demand.enlightened  Last I'd heard, Erwin and his lover had moved to San Francisco about 1993 but died just a few months later.  I assume leaving all his paintings to his lover, but he was sick too, and I never found out what happened.

There's very little about Erwin Mayr on the Internet, but this article from before we met him tells his backstory.  https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/fl-xpm-1989-10-29-8902070122-story.html

My collection is a mix. I have a mix of textiles, on my wall. I tend to favor doggos as a subject matter, but I also like serene landscapes and vintage stuff. I like white frames to go with the vintage nature of my room.

I also have some fan art on my wall. I have a picture of Asra from Arcanum.
