Help - Cannot locate an item in scene

I have the Long Gloves from https://www.daz3d.com/edwardian-accessories-for-genesis-3-females on Millawa 8 in the scene, a character portrait. So only Millawa, clothes, hair and a couple props. I decided to change out most of the clothing. But I cannot find the Long Gloves anywhere in the scene tab. I have opened up everything in the scene and still cannot find the item to delete it. The only place it shows up is in Surfaces. (I could deal with just turning all the glove surface cutout opacities to zero - but this only works for the right arm.) Yes, this is a conforming clothing item. The search/filter box above the scene tab doesn't help me find it.

I am using the DS4.16.1.40 beta and have also tried in DS4.11

Did you look outside of the Miliawa tree or drill down to the hands?

did you try using the surface selction tool to pick out the gloves surface and then check in the scene tab which part is selected?

Tried to see where they and up in the tree and they are loaded in the same node level as the hip bone node for the genesis 3 fem.

Might have happend that you accidentially parented them to a different body part with a click going awry? happens sometimes to me that I suddenly have parented stuff somewhere else

You can also right-click on th gloves in the Viewport with a posing tool and you should get an option to select them (I just tried and it works, though for me theya re simply parented to the base figure).

I invariably get either Milawa's arm when I try to select in Viewport.

I thought I'd looked at everything in every tree in the Scene, but might have missed. I will check again.

I did find a "pre-glove:" save of the scene soI was able to go from there. But I want to find out where those darn gloves are!

    Thanks for everyone's help

You could also type glove into the filter box at the top of the Scene pane.

I am testing a new product and it happened to me twice.  I could see the item in the viewport; but not in the scene window.  But in my case I am using the latest version of Daz Studio 4.2

The first time it happened I thought I had made a mistake installing the latest version of Daz Studio, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it. After that, it happened again; so I thought the scene was corrupted and created a new one. Seeing your comment, I realize that it may be a bug in the new version. Since I already deleted the scene I have no evidence to report it to Daz; but if it happens again I will open a ticket to report it.

One of the first things I tried. Nothing showed up.

this is weird. I asked a friend if he had this set and he loaded it up and it was right there in the genesis 3 female tree once he expanded it. Not sure why you are not seeing it. Did you have an dforce items in the scene? I know I have had a glitch where I had several dforce items in the scene and the hair didn't show up in the scene tab

No but I did realize I was using one of the ArcTec G8F prosthetic arms and the gloves might be in that tree. I am going to check tonight in case I didn't look there.
