It is not the Scripts/RiverSoft Art/Turbo Loader folder that is the problem. Daz Studio cannot find the support files in data/RiverSoft Art/Common. Is your Content Directory Manager still set correctly? Those directories, concatenated with data/RiverSoft Art/Common, are where the support files are? Can you find RS2022HelperFunctions.dse in that directory?
Found it. Its in an odd place (or so it seems to me) The data file is in a folder 'DAZ3D' inside my 'My DAZ 3d Library' I'm copying the contents to the 'data' folder directly under 'My DAZ 3d Library'. Will let you know what happens.
Moving the 'data' files to 'My Daz 3d Library' worked..I have runctions of Turboloader again;)
I have no idea how the data files ended up in the wrong place as moving that many files (328 GB) would surely have been noticed.
Thanks for your help.
You're welcome! I am glad it is working again.
BTW, if both "My Daz 3D Library" and "DAZ3D" are on the same drive, a move of Data would be instantaneously as that is just a one small directory table change.
I've run into a problem while trying to use "Turbo Loader Open File.dse" to load a character. I often personalize the Property paths (I re-group/move properties for easy access by changing the property path), would the script have issues with that?
Here is the error:
Hmmm. On that line, it is inspecting the JSON of the file for specific properties. What is weird though is that there should be a ton more messages in the log (for example, which file it is inspecting) that are not showing up. Is output_debug = true in the data/RiverSoft Art/Common/RSTurboLoaderConstants.dsa? If not, turn it on and try again so I have more information.
For the record, it works with other characters I tried. This particular one has a lot of custom properties, it has custom figure nodes and regions and recently I deleted some custom morphs from the data folder I no longer needed, the scene complains the morphs do not exsits when I open it. I did try saving it back and it no longer complains about the morph but didn't help Turbo Loader.
The log did ouput more stuff I, I missed it, but there isn't much
Huh. We will probably need to take this one offline. PM me your email address. I will create a version with even more debug messages and send it to you
Am using D|S 4.16.0.3, which is the last version where the ghost lights are functional (and I make heavy use of ghost lights) Just got the whole range of Turbo Loader products and tried out TL G8/G8.1 but think I may have messed up; is there any way I can reinstall it so that it scans the morphs again? When I load a scene with G8F characters there are missing files </3 And reinstalling the product file doesn't seem to work because a re-scan doesn't find the previouslty scanned files =(( (which I know it's supposed to do) but I can't find the morphs that need to be re-enabled.
I also removed Turbo Booster from my library but I still get the missing files message for any scene with G8F characters. Is there any way to get it to run properly in D|S 4.16.0.3, or failing that to remove it completely so it my G8F scenes run properly, even if they take forever to load? =((
Run Turbo Loader Manager and on the Utilities Tab Select "Reset Content Directories..."
Thank you so much @Sevrin! You're a lifesaver
I tested today using the version you sent me, and it works again! Thank you for such a quick response.
Log output:
I will submit an update then. Probably next week.
Turbo Booster works really well @RiverSoftArt in D|S 4.16.0.3; thank you for such a great product
With all the morphs enabled a scene with 2 G8Fs and a prop (both converted from G3F using XTransfer and Your Character Converter) takes 6:02 to open and 4:18 to close. I used to pass time by browsing on my iPhone while waiting.
With Turbo Loader and only the morphs for the characters enabled, that same scene takes 1:53 to open and 0:10 to close! I have Turbo Loader Booster installed as well; although I haven't used it yet, I don't think
Two thumbs way, way up!
EDIT: Opened the scene again to work on it, and it loaded in 1:28
You're welcome! I am glad you love it!
Definitely use TL Booster Utilities! It makes it a lot easier to use previously saved scenes or to pull in figures.
I'll start off by praising RiverSoft. TurboLoader is hands down my favorite purchase in the last few years. It has changed everything with how I render. I avoided Genesis 8 Females simply because the load time was embarassingly long. Now I don't dread any project.
It has worked wonderfully for me since release. The last few days though I have encountered a problem. I was always able to load a saved scene by selecting it and using "TurboLoader Open File" and it would grab whatever morphs on any character(s) in the scene and load quickly. Last week though when I would select a scene and click to open the file it would just... not. It would think for about 3 seconds then nothing would happen. Some scenes will still load but others do not.
If I go into my smart content or content library and choose a character and load it then it works the way it should. It's my saved scenes that are causing me issues now. Any idea what that could be or how to fix it?
I am sorry you are having issues. Please post the Daz Log from when you try and load one of those problematic scenes.
I went quite a while enjoying the tool without issue and loved it -- you don't owe me an apology! My log file was too big to post here so I sent you a private message.
Ah, I think you got bit by the same bug that got vholf. I hadn't gotten around to submitting an update but plan to submit one this weekend.
Hello @RiverSoftArt, I think I found another issue with Turbo Loader Inspector (and possibly the other scripts).
If the SmartContent and ContentLibrary Panes are in the same PaneGroup, then the script works, but if the Panes are in different PaneGroups, even if SmartContent pane group is collapsed, the script will pick up that pane, so I can never use it on the ContentLibrary Pane unless the SmartContent it is either closed completely or in the same pane group.
If both panes are open, could there be a prompt to let the user select which pane they intend to work with? SmartContent or ContentLibrary?
I faced the same issue in my personal scripts, there is no way to tell which is active, so I had to fall back to asking.
This is a known issue (and is really annoying that DS won't give a way to get the active pane). I will consider adding an ask dialog though personally I would not like it.
@RiverSoftArt thank you for considering it. You could make it so the ask dialog can be set to a default for people who use one pane or the other exclusively. I for one do not use it on the SmartContent tab, other people might, and some others might switch back and forth. Right now Turbo Loader is forcing me to change my layout and not have both Panes showing at the same time, which is highly inconvenient. That is not your fault, DS does not provide a way to handle that, I understand, so a workaround would be very welcome.
This is tool has become a very important part of my workflow, thank you for solving such a big problem!
Great product especially usefull with my creaking old machine that somehow still computes. Appologies in advance if asking questions already answered elsewhere.
1)Doesn't work with jcm's, ok. So after running Turbo Loader, are the character's jcm's still there or do I have to do something to re-enable them?
2) If I open a file with Booster and it searches out and open the necessary morphs, after being finished working with it and closing the scene, are those morphs still loading when I load a new scene and a different figure, or do they go back to their previous disabled state?
Use Turbo Loader Manager to enable the JCM morphs you need.
The morphs stay on until you specifically disable them again.
Ok, thanks. Also, is it possible to increase the number of recent files listed when that TB script is activated? If you're like me you have multiple of versions of a single scene you're working on so maybe only 2 or 3 different scenes appear in the recent file list.
Ok. The merge file script allows all your files to be seen. So good.
I have to say, I thought the Turbo Loader would be hard to set up and use the way I'd want with all my way too many characters. But with the Booster's enhancements this has turned out to be a real winner. Thanks again!
The script pulls the recent list from DS. So the number of files is up to DS.
You are very welcome! I am glad you like it.
First off great product, I've used it regularly since launch, but I've encountered an issue with a custom character, using latest Daz and latest version of Turbo Loader/Booster.
I've tested with multiple characters and they all load quickly but when I attempt to load a custom one it takes forever and appears to load a lot of unneeded morphs.
Using the character from a scene subset: Finished asset load (merge): 0m 40.580s - /Josy Alt Ver 2.duf
But when I attempt to load it from a simple scene, it seems to load everything I have installed:
Even though the log shows the time as much shorter than is displayed.
Any idea what's happening?
I would need to see the Daz Log to tell you more. If you have the latest version, then I would say that you saved this custom character with a lot of morphs in the scene subset.
Thank you, I've attached the log, I looked through it myself but to be honest, I wasn't quite sure what to look for.
