Missing sliders solved (finally)

A while ago I posted on here asking for advice about missing pose sliders (which weren't actually missing, they just were not where I was expecting them) and nonfunctional faces, couldn't close eyes or mouths etc etc. Several people offered advice, sadly none of it worked. I then got stuck at work for what felt like years and could only piddle around on Daz for a few useless minutes at a time. I eventually figured something had installed incorrectly. That's about when I remembered that when I reinstalled my assets to a new drive I started at "most recent" and worked my way down. All my expressions got installed BEFORE the starter essentials. I deleted and reinstalled again, this time starting with the starter essentials, lo and behold all my sliders are back and expressions are fully functional.
Let this be a lesson for all my fellow new Daz users: start with the starters. They are called starters for a reason. Hopefully my misadventure is helpful to someone.
