For me, I think I'm going to tackle 2 problems today and see if I an get them fixed.
1) Try to get 4.15 installed. I tried to update through Daz Central. It says it updated to 4.15, but it shows 4.20 when I load the program. See screenshot. Oh and I had a problem where it got stuck installing, especially at 86%. I did some research last night and others had that same issue. It did say it eventually installed, but obviously it isn't correct yet. Hence, I'm going to revisit this problem today.
2) Everything isn't what it appears. Usually when I create characters, I do one of two things. 1) click on the character and it shows up. 2) click on the base figure like in this case, genesis 3 male. then select genesis 3 male, and then click on the figure I want and apply it to genesis 3 male. However, now when I click on the character straight way, it creates a mini-me instead of the size of the figure. Like "chase" in this case. Or if I click on genesis 3 male now, instead of the default genesis 3 male, I get this other default image. I think it is "Chase". However, that is weird because I've never gotten it to work properly and don't really use it. So if I click on genesis 3 male, I get the "chase" figure at regular size (I think it is chase anyway). I then save it as a scene subset. I click on file>new to clear the scene out. I load in the scene subset and I get the full size genesis 3 male instead of the one I just saved. Things I've tried. I looked into the female genesis 3 and don't seem to have a problem there at all. I uninstalled/reinstalled genesis 3 male essentials through DIM / Daz Central and it didn't help.

I've been working on an Avatar: The Last Airbender fan film, and I've finally got Katara's improbable hair at least mostly dialed in, so I can move on to animating her clothing and rendering out a second shot. At this point, I've spent about a month solving various problems so that I can finally start a more streamlined production.
Nice! The last couple of days, I've been working on mostly problems, but I think I got them fixed. Maybe, I can get back to my project before I get derailed onto something else.

I've been trying to write this fan fic about The Witcher, except it's only based on Twitter and Tumblr posts I've seen of it from people I follow. (I'm trying not to read/play/watch the source material, so it can be "badly interpreted." However, it has now somehow turned into a "Enter the Dragon," fan fic, but set in a fantasy world where mushrooms are the most common magical creatures.
Been too busy working this nonsense to even update DS 4.16 to 4.20, though I have made test renders of some of the main/off-brand characters.
#1 after multiple tries, I think everything is up to date and installed. I'll be totally honest, I don't get the install process at all.
#2 I have more than one content folder. One is strictly for trying out freebies and so forth. For some reason, "Growing Up for Genesis 3 males" was installed in both places and it was the extra that was causing the issue. I uninstalled and then deleted the 2nd one out of my "test content" folder and everything appears to be working normally again.
#3 I mowed the lawn. I'm 57, but feel like 107. It was hot and humid and I either have a hernia or I am closer to one. The doc always said I was close. Mowing wasn't that much fun. I still have a little bit of weed eating to do, but I need to charge my battery in more ways than one so it will wait until tomorrow.
That sounds like a lot of fun. I have the game, The Witcher, but really haven't played it much. I like the premise though. I dabble in writing, but it's more of a thought than actually doing it. April was Camp Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month, in case you didn't know). I was going to participate like I normally do, but it's been so busy with this thing that barely passes for life these days, I just didn't have the will power to. I was to depressed, although that could have been a great distraction. I've never really done fan fiction, but my sister has. She wrote a lot of Harry Potter stuff and I think some Janic Evonovitch (sp?) fan fic. When I saw "Enter the Dragon" I thought of Bruce Lee. I'm really old school. Is that the same thing?
Yes, a character based on Bruce Lee is in this story. Here he is an innkeeper, but when he was younger, he was sent to some death match island. (I've supplemented from other unrelated media.)
I always miss out on Camp Nanowrimo, due to my personal project scheduling. (Though this project barely qualifies as original, since everything in it is like a bootleg of the originals.) I am able to write a lot thanks to how handy Google Docs/Google Drive is. In this particular story, parts of it were written by an AI that can generate novel snippets, but I've been heavily editing the results for coherence.
AI sounds really interesting. I've always liked technology, not so much these days though. What do you use for the AI, if you don't mind me asking? Last November for Nano, I wrote 60K on a cyberpunk novel. But with me, I always want to illustrate it, hence working with Daz studio. No matter what though, to quote that song, "I still haven't found what I'm looking for". I'd like to make my own stuff, but I usually don't get very far before I'm sidetracked onto something else.

..well after dealing with my usual morning barrage of emails (the downside of being a "concerned citizen") and reading through my morning news was going to head to the local Safeway to replenish my dwindling supply of my favourite strong British tea Checking their site, apparently they stopped handling it even though it was rather popular. Whole paycheque a bit further away does have the same tea but charges the about same price for less than half as much (40 bags instead of 100).
Then I remembered that Amazon accepts EBT for grocery purchases. So being a Prime member and all I go there, find the quantity I want, put it in the cart, add my EBT card to my payment methods but select the card to make the purchase told me my card's account balance was 0.00$. Right, I know i have funds on the card and even went to the EBT site to verify that. So I went to the Amazon CS site and got on chat only to get mixed messages from four different operators, three of which were at a centre overseas (based on their names and command of English). Long story short, I wasted a good part of my afternoon with no resolution but a fair amount of both confusion and frustration (I managed to remain "civil" but I could feel my patience beginning to fray a bit by the end). The most that I sort of gathered was that I needed to order through their "Fresh" grocery department or Whole Paycheque (also owned by Amazon) both of which have minimum delivery order of 35$, for a box of good "wake you up" British tea that's about 5$.
Apologies, Liptons, Red Rose, and the Safeway house brand just doesn't taste as good or have that "morning reveille" quality that my Yorkshire tea has.

Well hopefully things will get better for you! I myself feel decent this morning, which is unusual considering. I take care of my dad. I mow the lawn, even though I am allergic to grass. Usually, after mowing the lawn, I feel like I have the flu for the next day or two. I mowed a lot yesterday, but oddly enough, I feel pretty good today. Hopefully, it will be a good day.
A fantasy couple dancing where the girl is taller. I have so many lovely medieval princess dresses but not too many fancy medieval outfits for guys so I might give him armor
