How do i get Daz Studio 4.8 Iridium

Question : Is the new version of Daz Studio - Version 4.8 . fully released or just available for public Beta Test usage

The promotion in shop display.. Gives the appearance that there is a new full and Proper Release of Daz Studio - 4.8 - Iridum

but when i try to instal it via the Daz install manager, The DCIM program keeps trying load my copy of Daz Studio 4.7 Pro


So I need to know please. What is going as to Daz Studio ????

And if there is a New Final Full - Alpha version of Daz Studio Pro available .. How do i get it ??


PS : the manual download web page for - Daz Studio. also shows 4.7.. not .. 4.8

    Same here, I am quite confused... But I'm sure that will be clarified and fixed today!

    Most likely they got the promotion stuff up before the download server had the final release of Daz Studio Iradium ready. Just give it time. Also, prepare for long download times as more and more people rush to download it.

    So... patience.

    It is also 4:30 a.m. now in Utah.

    It will be some hours yet before this is fixed.

    It is still in beta. You will need to order the public beta and download and install it using the DIM (Daz Install Manager).

    Ha yeh I unstalled 4,8 beta a few hours ago, and it didnt find anything so i reinstalled, figuring they would fix it. :)

    Yup. I'm having the same problem as Aussie Artist, and 4.8 doesn't show up in my products download page either so I cannot download and install manually.

    Same problem here.

    Got an email saying Daz Studio 4.8 iradium was released, but I just get sent round in circles pointing me either to log in endlessly, or just to Daz Studio 4.7..

    Oh well. Sounded good in the email :(

    The last post in the 4.8 beta thread says that the files are syncing now and should be ready to download in about an hour ;)

    Considering all the (recent) historical issues with new releases and stuff, how the heck can the release of the much-touted DS 4.8 with Iray be another victim of the mess-up fairy? ;)

    No more than it currently does...

    Iray DOES NOT need a new video card. It works faster with an Nvidia card with an adequate amount of memory to fit the scene...

    Not concerned about that. It's the shaders. lights etc :smirk:

    Oops! Guess they all went to bed! I've been DL'ing and messing around with files and locations, general logistics, q&a and such BEFORE installing, as that usually enables me to make less of a mess of things first time around. Meanwhile, I have had the release version since last evening according to the Product Library.
