Zero Pose same for both?

Quick question. Is the default zero pose the same for both G8F and G8M? What I mean is does it make any difference to the JCMs or rigging or whatever if I apply the G8F zero pose to a G8M? I do it sometimes but I'm always concerned that doing so might be the cause of posing anomalies when I move the limbs about (that could be pure coincindence of course).

    Whether the poses look different, they both represent zero rotations on all joints.

    Ok, so in my simple interpretation of that: I can use either zero pose on either figure. I'm actually just being lazy because I have a custom action on a toolbar for G8F Zero Pose and I keep clicking that whether I have her or G8M selected.
