Are you good with building hair systems? That's the primary feature of an Afghan hound. You'll notice that there are vey few long-haird aimals in anyone's store. Peple have been asking for a poodle r a collie for years. But thise breeds are primarily recognzable by the hair and no one seems to have done well enough at it to have offered it for sale yet.
For the underlying coursing hound build, Sparky over at Philosopher's Egg did a very nice greyhound morph for the Hivewire dog. But you'd first need the Hivewire dog base, and then buy the morph separately. (Hivewire animals are cross platform and work in both Studio and Poser) And then you'd need the hair.
Or, in short, unless someone has come up with something recently, there's no direct way to get there from here.
Does it need to be 3D? If you google Afghan dog png or psd you’ll probably be able to find 2D pngs you can add to your scene in Photoshop. If you need multiple poses you will obviously need a 3D version that I really wish someone would make as well as other furry dog breeds.
thank you both, look I will just have to wait ( maybe a lonf time )
will just have to see what other dogs are out
I've been thinking about this, because I want to do one in a painting. (So I don't require quite the fidelity someone working in Daz for a finished piece).
Proof of concept attached. I'd need to play more with the shaping and grooming of the strand hair but it looks doable almost entirely in Daz rather than doing the hair in Blender.
Using: https://www.daz3d.com/dachshund-for-daz-dog-8 {limits turned off for the shaping: extented the legs, negative percentage for the tummy etc)
And https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/335676/strand-based-hair-mini-tutorial/p1 is helpful if you haven't used strand-based hair
There's an Afghan Hound at 3D Warehouse.
