New update stuck at 86 percent with DAZ Central

I installed my version of Daz Studio on an external drive (Z:). When I upgrade to the latest version (4.20.0.17), Daz Central installs Studio, and stops at 86 percent, then says the install is complete, but the install failed. It does not install Daz Studio.  

I uninstalled and reinstalled Daz Central, but the app keeps a trace somewhere and saves the settings, and the failed install data. Every time I try to install Daz Studio, it begins at 86 percent, and I get the "Installation complete message." 

Can somebody help?

    Check the log file - at 86% it probably isn't Daz Studio itself but one of the additional products that come with it, which Daz Central rolls into a single entry.

    I'll try to look for the log file tomorrow. It is 4 AM where I live. Time to go to bed,
