I totally do not understand this at all! Every time I purchase any type of Robe whether it be an angel robe or a monk robe it will not attach itself to any of my fiqures! It will only stay in the orginal pose! This happens even if you parent it to the figure! What the heck am I doing wrong?

Greetings,
Typically you want the robe to 'fit to' a character. You can parent to it if you want to, but it's the 'fit to' that makes it conform.
It's in Parameters, I think under 'Misc'.

I've tried the fit to option that doesn't work either!
Which robe or robes? Make sure they aren't Poser dynamic clothing, which won't work in DAZ Studio. They may also be DAZ Studio Dynamics that require an animated drape - you have to open the Timeline pane (Window>Panes(Tabs)>Timeline) and the Dynamic Clothing pane (Window>Panes(Tabs)>Dynamic Clothing), then set the zero pose (or apply a supplied starting pose) in frame zero, drag the time marker to the last frame and apply your desired pose, then go back to frame 0 and in the Dynamic Clothing pane set the type to Animated before clicking the Drape button.
I've had this problem in rare cases with some clothes, usually old V4 things. Sometimes it's as if the creator didn't put fit data in at all or something. But as the previous post points out, with your problem being strictly with robes and capes, it sounds like you could be dealing with dynamic clothing. I know a lot of robes and capes are dynamic. Make sure you check the details on clothes like that, because they dynamic part can sneak in there. :) I've nearly bought four different items I thought were standard only to find out at the last moment they were dynamic.
