Like [Beulah] that hair very much but would also like to hide those bangs. Not possible with included morphs or presets. What might be the quickest way to hide those?

That doesn't appear to be dForce hair, so if they are not currently their own surface group you could use the Geometry Editor tool to select them and, via right-click, create a new surface from them and make it transparent or create a new group, create a new bone with the Joint Editor right-click menu, and in Tool Settings assign the new group to the the bone's seelction group so you can hide it with the Visible button/eye icon in the Scene pane

Silly question! Being British, I only heard of "bangs" when I started doing 3D art, and I thought it was what we would call a fringe, like a straigt bit across the forehead.

But Beulah hair doesn't have a fringe. So are the bangs those liltte wispy bits? Two nations separated by a common language...

If so, for little bits like that I would do what Richard says, but for more extreme cases, I've sometimes made a custom morph where the offending quads and everything connected to them are dragged inside the head and made very small..
