G8F close scene delay

I know this is a well known and much complained-about issue but something doesn't really make sense to me. When I have one G8F or G8M, the scene will close quickly. A G8F AND a G8M is also quick to close. But if the scene has more than one G8F it takes several minutes to close. I gather from other threads that the reason is the number of morphs for a G8 figure and I do have more morphs for G8F than G8M but, if it has to load all the morphs for the first G8F, why is it so slow when there are two and so quick to close with only one?

One fiogure is enough to slow closing for me.

Interesting. I wonder whether that's because you have many, many more morphs in your library than I do? I guess characters increase the morph count and I have so few characters. I'm still confused as to why it should significantly slow down with a second figure in the scene. And a third slows it even more. I'm assuming it reloads the morphs over and over which seems very inefficient to me.

Maybe it also has to do with the skin shader that is used?

Example: By the log file, Esra 8 using the Iray Uber shader is loaded within 3 seconds, clearing the scene takes 1 second. Esra 8.1 using the PBR Skin Shader takes 9 seconds for loading and 6 seconds for clearing the scene again - significantly longer. Seems to have nothing to do with different morphs, they are loaded in less than 0.5 seconds in both cases.

Well, if it is of any significance, I have no 8.1 (PBR shader) characters. Also, as I said, the delay is guaranteed to increase significantly with the addition of a second G8F figure, no matter what skin. I can have two characters with the same skin and the delay would still be far greater for two than for one. It is not as simple as a doubling of the delay time - it is a difference going from a few second to a few minutes just for the addition of that second figure. And the difference is much more marked with G8F than with G8M. I can have two or three G8M characters in a scene and the delay is insignificant.
