zero pose help

Why is it when I click the zero pose for the head from the poses folder, the head does not zero out?
Once and while when I zero out the body, some of the body parts do not zero either. This is sometimes where the head is quite often.

Thanks

Which zero pose? Most will be there to zero a particular character or morph set, they can't zero any sliders that weren't include when saved (a script would be needed for that, though it would still need a way to identify the things it should be zeroing as head morphs)

What I usually do to 'zero' something is to select the node and all its child nodes, then apply 'zero pose' on these selected nodes (the option can be found by right clicking on the scene pane). So far this always worked for me, no matter how much I changed. This is also a good trick to get a whole figure back to their zero pose yet without also changing their position within the right render. For that to work though you need to select all child nodes, not the root itself.

I believe that works when the bones are posed, but not when the pose/character is posed using the dials in the parameters tab. So, check in parameters the "currently used" and zero out the dials pertaining to posing the head there.

Zero pose resets the bone rotations. But if the pose/expression is done by applying a set of morphs, DS has no way to know if the said morph is used to apply a pose/expression or to shape the char, and it does not reset anything. Probably it would be a good thing if these different kinds of morphs where somehow treated differently by DS, but presently it is imposible. As FenixPhoenix said, you need to look at "currrently used" in your parameters.
