OMG!!!! This looks ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
I almost can't believe how awesome it is!! I can't WAIT! :) :)
Here's an update - we've textured the shackles and made him a weapon.
Wouldn't want to be hit by that.
Small question, what is his height compared to Genesis Base Mesh ?
About the same as the Freak - 120% of base size.
Perfect...thanks :)
Very cute! I think my credit card just fled whimpering out the door...
We're wrapping up on this project, and are quite please with the different character we've managed to squeeze out of Genesis. Here's a final render as our Troll gets packaged up.
Very nice. Any chance we can see the figure from the back? I want to see the texture. I like what I am seeing from the front.
Better than your average forum troll!
Adorable troll. :) Any thoughts of doing Toon Regenerations (i.e. Toon Generations using Genesis)?
The Mountain Troll is available now.

I had to get it.
Nice one!
By the way, if you set your "Shading Rate" to 0.1 in the Render Settings, you will get more detailing on the textures in your render.

Thank you. I was wondering how you got the extra detail in the skin texture. This was done with one distant light and UE2 (occlusion with directional shadows, occlusion samples set to 128, and shading rate set to 2).
Bring the shading rate down, does increase render times, but textures look a whole lot better.
S
Here's the exact same scene, with the Shading Rate changed from 2 to .1. BIG difference in render time (like 400%, especially when it got to the fern, then it bogged down), but the textures are much clearer. Thanks for the tip.
In the cart.
Thanks yet again for what I am sure will be another awesome product.
Cant wait to have play.
It is a pity, that Mountain Troll is only for Daz Studio 4.5, so I have to update my Daz Studio installation,
before I can play with him :ohh:
Just whipped this up during my lunch break. He is actually quite huge. I thought he was like an mini troll lol. I like the fact that I can use the horns on other figures:)
Ditto on the horns.
Great work, guys.
Is there a good resource you guys can recommend for info on Geo-Grafting? Especially when considering the new Instancing power of 4.5?
Great use of the Body Hair there Zev0...nice work.
Another Ditto for the horns, that will be so cool.

There is a new project for you 3DUniverse.....a bundle set of horns for Genesis..I would be sold on that :)
Used the guy in Carrara.. for some reason there is an error in loading the animal skin cloth.. :coolhmm:
Great Character...love him.....Thank you.
Cheers Laticis
This troll is pretty awesome.

Did you apply SSS to the skin? Looks good:)
Thanks :)
SSS it is, I used UberSurface2 and was quite happy with the finished result.
The skin texture on this Troll is awesome, I especially like the finger nails :)
Great render, Laticis!!!!
I grabbed him but am in the process of getting my 4.5 house in order so I can't play quite yet.
The Mountain Troll converts pretty well from DAZ Studio 4.5 to Poser:
Just have to adjust the x,y,z origin offsets for most of the joints in Poser.
Stezza, you're is a hoot! I love it.
