Looking for Streamline Moderne stuff.

Lately, I've been very big on the Streamline Moderne aesthetic as I just feel that there's something cool about that look. In case you guys don't know what it is, here's a wiki link to everything about it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streamline_Moderne

As you can see from the wiki link, it's an aesthetic that covers not only buildings but vehicles, radios, and everything else. It's basically the Fallout video game aesthetic but without all the ruins and nuclear bombs dropping.

I've managed to find a few like it  HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE. But I think I need a few buildings and the like so that those vehicles can fit into the scenery more naturally.

I have been looking for similar items myself.

3D Classic's store at Rendo has several products, including the classic Blytheville bus station, the Hiawatha Train, and some vehicles.

Dreamland models' store at Rendo has sets and buildings that could work.

I also suggest checking out KitBash3D, a couple of their city kits might be useful.

On the other "Render..." site (whose name may not be written), if you search for "Deco", there are some buildings and a kitbash kit that might help.

Art Deco isn't quite the same thing, but it's a possible alternate search target. The period was not much earlier and quite a few of the aesthetics are reasonably similar. The one served as a forerunner for the other. And there are a number of Deco models in various stores.

Or used to be. Some may be in the vault by this time.

There's no prohibition about writing out "Renderosity", they just don't want us posting unsolicited links to their site or products.

You are right, but Renderosity is not the "site whose name shall not be written", it just has "Renderh..." in the name smiley.   I do not blame DAZ moderators for this at all, given some of the products they have, and copyright restrictions.  Their caution is appropriate.  I have seen posts removed, apparently for listing the name, so I am just trying to avoid trouble.

If anyone wants links to the specific items I have mentioned, I will send via PM.

This is more Art Deco than Streamline, but it may be worth a look (Goliath @ KitBash3D).

Some shaders should be all you need for Streamline on these. (Heavy Metal @ KitBash3D).

I suggest some simple primitives, like retangles, or cylinders flattened and squashed to ovals can be added for that Moderne touch. Here's my work (done in Bryce long ago). Trade off the "Deco" textures for marble or limestone, or such. I was trying to suggest the old Deco facades left on building in my town. I would insert multiples of squashed ovals as I have done here with rectangles. Either from top to bottom or inserted horizontal. You could have a lot of architecture with little effort.image
