Foot Prints or Tyre Marks in Sand or Snow?

So what is everybody's take on this? Are there any viable options to get this done convincingly, if necessary in Photoshop?
I come across the problem time and time again and while I so far decided to ignore it and to compose the render accordingly I finally would love to find a way tgo show them in my renders.

It is possible to do this using dForce and Push Modifiers on your terrain but it's cumbersome, long-winded and the results aren't particularly satisfactory imho.

The easiest solution is to search for something like 'snow footprint brush photoshop' and see what there is out there or....
Make your own:

If you want to do it directly in Daz you could create your footprints/tyre tracks as a displacement map in Photoshop and use it on your terrain but you'll have to set the subdivision of the terrain very high for it to look reasonably good.
Depending on your specific needs, I have used both of these products before:

There may be a few other environments for sale that have done the work to build in morphs.
“all in all , an interesting subject.”
There used to be a "Footprints" type product in the DAZ catalog. I think that I might even have it, somewhere, on an old archive, removed, in a box, in the attic.![frown frown](https://www.daz3d.com/forums/plugins/ckeditor/js/ckeditor/plugins/smiley/images/confused_smile.png)
Oh for tracks you WANT this: https://www.daz3d.com/materia-meshmaker-plug-in-for-daz-studio
It comes with a Snow Shader which can be applied to your existing ground surfaces, then make use of a black/white track image on its dial on the Surfaces Tab, tracks!!

There are tyre aka tire track images available at ArtStation as well as free ones here and there; or, yes certainly one can make their black/white image using any image editor. To get a foot print, one could render the bottom of the foot of their creature {as some of the D/S characters do have some unique feet} - then turn that into a brush for their image editor and again, make a black/white image for the dial.
Have Fun :-)
The tyre tracks are on sale atm at ArtStation, practically free. Since you mentioned wanting tyre tracks hopefully the mods will let this link stay, about a dollar for 20 tracks. {bit more for commercial license}
...yeah, it was this (I have it).
Sadly it is no longer in the store.
First Bastion's Rolling Plains also has a set of tracks in one of the desert material settings.
I got mine from Hivewire
Do the tracks actually come with the product, though? I tried going through the tutorial with it and couldn't find the files for the tracks anywhere.
The ability to use black/white image to make your own tracks is in the shader used {either on its own or via the plugin}.
As the forum post indicates, you need to supply your own images. There are links for free images in the post, and of course, elsewhere on the 'Net, or one can make their own.

I do not have this asset, but it seems quite popular and correspond to what you want.
