Just a quick link and some info if ever you have used the Daz Uber Emissive preset you will notice under the emission section for the particular surface that you have decided to make a light source you will see a Emission Profile tab.

This is where this website comes in http://light-up.co.uk/index.php?t=ies&vc=US&c=USD it has a number of links to the light globe manufacturers websites and specifically their IES / Illuminating Engineering Society profiles for real world light globes..

Once you have gotten the IES file you like save it to your system and then click the Emission Profile tab browse to where you saved the IES file and go ok and you are all set for when you render. Though it might take a few trials to pick the IES file you like the most..

Can be very handy in giving a particular look to a light source hope this info helps.. :)

Would these be the same kind of IES data files that LuxRender uses? I downloaded a bunch of them a few months ago, but I was never able to figure out how to use them properly.

Yes, IES is a standard method to describe the characteristics of a light source - such as a bulb or light fitting.
