Slicer and Slicer Unimesh (Arcane Archery question as well)

Hey All,
I was just seeing if my Slicer texture would work but it is not working for some reason, it also gives me this error (picture attached). I have looked at it and it seems like the file location is right, but as you can see in the picture, there is a little yellow marker on the top right of most of the files. This is happening with a lot of my files so any idea on what it means? Also, for anyone who knows about Arcane Archery, how do you pull the string towards where you want it to go? (Picture attached) It isn't letting me free-maneuver the string and I was wondering if there is a setting to do so?
Thanks,
Charlie

Do you mean the scroll icon on the top left?

That tells you that there are both Poser and DAZ Studio files available for this item (CR2 and DUF) and that DAZ Studio will use the DUF one. (See you own screenshot)

I just tried this, and it works for me, I would try reinstalling it if I were you.

    Tried reinstalling, no effect.

Not sure why it's even looking for the CR2/OBJ when you're in DS. It should be loading from the DUF and /data files, not the OBJ.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's loading the wrong version of the robe.

The error message clearly shows that DS is trying to load the cr2. Have you double checked and made sure that the Geometry Path indicated in the error is present and correct?

Have you tried re-downloading the Slicer product and then re-installing?

I just remembered I own Slicer. I don't get any error messages when I load it, though.

@OP: Do you have the runtime mapped as both a Daz Studio and Poser runtime? Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager.

I'm assuming it's mapped for DS, but not as Poser, which would result in Products finding the DUF files, but not the Poser files.

There is no /data directory in the install, only /runtime/geometries. Whenever this was converted, they included only the dufs and none of the /data, causing it to auto-generate the files in /data/auto_adapted.

I tried redownloading and reinstalling but it doesn't seem to work. It is sort of weird because the things it says it cannot find are exactly where it is looking for them..... (screenshot attached). Thank you so much guys!

You need to look at Vaskania's post above about mapping your library folder as BOTH DAZ Studio AND Poser Formats. That is the most likely answer.

You need to go to Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager. and make sure that the library that this item is installed to, is listed as BOTH formats.

Can you post an image of your Content Directory Manager with these paths expanded so that we can check for you?

As for Arcane Archery, under "Morph" there is one labelled "Fire" - that draws the bow for ya. :D

Check every folder in the path to make sure the case matches exactly.

Okay I looked at the first case and it lead me to a place mentionned in a previous comment, in data/auto_adapted and in the auto_adapted folder, there are various different materials I have already used. What do I do with that folder since everything in there seems to already work? [On to the next case] In the second case there is no folder called "My DAZ Library" so how would I fix that problem if there is no trace of that folder? [next case] In this case, the path leads me just to where I have Carrara installed.....? The Poser cases seem to have the exact same paths.... Hope this helps find out whats wrong :cheese:
