How Does the 4.8 Macintosh Version Run?

I'm running Yosemite 10.10.3 on a Macintosh Pro. I'm not trying to start a list of complaints. I'm looking eagerly at installing 4.8. Currently, I'm running 4.7, which is quite usable. In the past, sometimes the first Macintosh versions of a new general release of DAZ|Studio have significant problems. So, I'm hoping to hear from Macintosh users with the latest OS (10.10.3), about their experiences. I hope they're all success stories, but if there are problems, perhaps it's better for me to wait until version 4.8.3.267 or something like that. I use DAZ|Studio every day, so I don't want to download a version that presents big problems.

I am on a MacBook Pro using Yosemite 10.10.3 and DS 4.8.0.55.
I had a few isolated problems in 4.7 that travelled into 4.8 for me, but they had to do with not having a mouse, but a trackpad, and keyboard shortcuts not responding. Otherwise, 4.8 is great and has many improvements, not the least of which is Iray. For laptop users, in particular, on Yosemite, we may not be able to use CUDA because the latest CUDA drivers are not yet in the System releases we've had from Apple and it is discouraged to do them by hand for laptops. I use CPU, but it is still quite good.
We’ve also created a pointer page that shows various threads on Iray that have been very helpful. Rather than start new Iray pages, please check these sources first since it keeps the places to look for information simplified. These are also pages where many Iray users have been discussing Iray topics and so may be much more helpful to you. When there are dozens of threads, one forgets where they saw what and information may be posted that is very helpful but gets missed.

OK, Cris, thank you very much for the good response. Of course, I'm interested in Iray, but I'm using D|S mainly for posing -- designing and setting up poses. Any new problems introduced there? Hopefully not, and then maybe I'll be off to install 4.8.
If I could also ask: have you got AMD video cards, the way the Mac Pro does? I didn't think any but the nVidia cards could use CUDA. Do you have any information on CUDA drivers coming from Apple? (I know the current Open CL drivers are not good in the current Yosemite, and I'm hoping those will be updated.)
Everything's good on posing and stuff. I have nVidia on my laptop, so I could use CUDA, but not presently. The threads I pointed you to may have more or different info.
I'm having a couple of fairly small older scenes consistently crash. I haven't tracked down a culprit yet. The rest of the time it runs great.
Working fine for me on Yosemite 10.10.3, on a 3.4 Ghz, iMac. It has an AMD Graphics card so don't get the nvidia-Iray advantages, but I use Reality 4.0 anyways.
But no problems so far.
