So you get to visit an alien planet.....

So one day on Earth, A visiting Reptilian Dignitary and he daughter are touring your town, when a freak incident occurs. You manage to save the Dignitary's Daughter from death, and as a reward the Dignitary offers to take you to his home world for a month long visit, with full diplomatic status. Of course you say yes.

Upon arrival, you notice the giant sky manta as your shuttle lands. Amazing creatures, you are told they are harmless, but you are still a little spooked. The Climate of this Alien world reminds you of a cross between earths Carboniferous period and the modern rainforests, and it is quite warm and humid. Perfect for Amphibians, Reptiles, and Giant insects, yet higher orders of mammals are also known here.

Having diplomatic/VIP status allows for some private viewings and better access to some of the better museums,art galleries, cultural events, and important historic architecture, but after a couple weeks, you'd like to learn more about the other lifeforms on this planet, you you arrange to visit a zoo. After seeing some of the planets more dangerous life, such as the vicious knid, singers of Chzor, Quick Jumperia, terrifying tarantula, giant centipede, various monster worms, and the man eating Xerr, you realize these aren't the creatures you really want to see... you're more interested in the non-dangerous stuff.

Many homes keep Gargoyle Hounds, Giant Stag Beetles, and giant pillbugs as pets.
A few species of large lizards (Dragon of Burden, Wingless Wyrm) are used as pack animals/ horses.

So you visit a farm, where you see herdbeast ( Cattle), catoblepas (pig), and Gallimimus (chicken) and what else do you see?
Then you visit a Petting Zoo... What's there?

(Sorry, got a little longwinded asking for what other kind of alien non-hostile creatures would fit this world. Not really looking for more dinosaurs, even if they fit, I'm not really wanting to create Jurassic World...)
