Okay, if i add a genesis character to a scene it looks fine. The problem is if i save the scene and load the scene back up, the character looks all deformed? I'm not really sure what's going on here. This just started happening after upgrading to the new daz 4.8 btw. Here's a pic of what i'm talking about.

Are you saving as Scene, or something other than "Scene"?

    I'm saving as regular scene.

Weird. It looks as if some virus lives inside the HD! :-P

    Have you tried:
    Reinstalling DS4.8
    and Reinstalling the Starter Packs?
It's possible that something went AWOL during installation. When you install, make sure that DS is closed.

That looks scary as all hell.... I wonder if it isn't some horror joke from DAZ.

Anyway, for the record I had a similar problem, though with 4.7... have you tried loading a previously saved scene (before you changed to 4.8) and re-saving it as a new file to see if it happens again?

looks like that scary RawArt withered HD morph is dialed in.
maybe you overwrote the base figure with it dialed up.

Ya it seems like that was the problem. I just remembered i was messing around with zbrush earlier, and i must have overwritten the base figure by mistake. I just did some snooping around the forum and i found a fix for it. If anyone else got a problem with overwritten base figures, here's a link describing how to fix it from(Richard Haseltine post)
