Hand / Fingernail Surfaces G2 - Something wrong on my end?

Just noticed this on e.g. G2M and not sure if this was the case before to be honest. Basically on all other fingernails other than the thumbnails the surface assigned to the nails is "Hand" Surface from below. It looks quite weird if you e.g. paint the fingernails and basically only the thumbnail shows the fingernail color from below. Also the case in render.
