I am looking for a computer with keyboard and mouse (maybe even mousepad and tower if possible) With searching this thread I have not been able to find any previous requests for one but I could be wrong.

If anyone knows of a free version of a desktop computer that is free then I would really appreciate a link.

Also, I just remembered that I would also like a monitor lifter. I'm not sure what they are called but they are boxes with built in keyboard trays or just a platform for a monitor.

Thank you everyone! This thread is wonderful! :)

The best I can find for a desktop computer on a quick search is TrekkieGrrl's "Toon 'Pooter", near the bottom of http://trekkiegrrrl.dk/prp8.htm
You might be better off creating a cube primitive, changing its scale (on the x, y, or z axis as appropriate) so it's a rectangular box, and texturing it with a photo of a real PC.

The search for peripherals was somewhat better - lab108 has a pc keyboard, USB cable, mouse, and LCD monitor (as well as a notebook PC) at http://lab108.x0.com/lab108/electrical.html

No luck finding a monitor shelf...

Anyone know where there are closed-toe, flat shoes (i.e. ballet slippers or loafers) and/or boots for Luke or Laura 3? I know I've seen free ones somewhere. Someone asked me to make some but I feel like there are some already out there. I can't even find "sensible shoes" or "bossy boots" for luke or laura.

And...is there a freebie list for Luke/Laura stuff? I checked chohole's master list and didn't see one but it looks like there was one on the old forums that simply returns a 404 error page.

Thanks Robkelk! The toon computer will come in handy down the line as well. They are perfect!

Can anyone suggest a free alternative to the Multiplane Cyclorama beach scene?

There's something similar here: Lake Beach. It has a ground plane and a background plane, and some extra textures for it.

I've just copied all the links from that thread (except for the ones I know go to dead sites) into a spreadsheet. Don't expect an updated list immediately, but one just might pop up "Daz Soon"...

There's also this one from MostDigitalCreations: Shoreline.

    Thanks again!

Now I discover that I need a free swimsuit or summer outfit with Stephanie 4 morphs. (The V4 one-piece swimsuit at Most Digital Creations fits S4 like a tent in the chest area and is too tight around the hips... and Manomano's summer outfits are worse, even with the Aiko Realistic morphs dialed all the way up. There's just no substitute for a genuine S4 morph.) Does anybody know of one?

Stephanie4 is hard to fit, unfortunately. Even with Morph Follower (I use DS3.) But LMD's Retro Bikini fits her well after using Morph Follower, and elleque's Tropical Breeze dress set fits her fine without any tweaking at all. Using the Caitlyn body, the Manomano bikini fit pretty well -- maybe Manomano's clothes would work better on a S4 with more boob? :p

Also, a couple of really old freebies didn't work too badly: Kirwin's Shorts for V4 and AS's My Vest for V4. The shorts fit well after using Morph Follower, to my surprise. The old AS vest was a bit deformed in the boob area, but if you have those old freebies, you might try playing more with them and seeing what you get.

Maybe, but making her less flat-chested rather spoils the intended image...

Tropical Breeze looks lovely, though. Thanks for the help!

Can someone tell me where I can find those popular below-ankle socks for Genesis? I think that's what they're called. They're colorful and don't go any higher than below the ankle and they're popular with the kids.

There's a set of freebie props I once had but can't find now. It includes several draped fabrics that looks like the ones you'd find in a studio setting.

Could it be RDNA's Drapery Pack?

    Hi there!
I'm looking for more V4/A4 shoes that don't have pencil thin heels. Most of the high-heeled shoes have thin heels and while that's nice, I'd like to get some with thick heels. Not thick soles, but thick square-ish heels. The only thing I have to that are the V4 square toe boots. I'd like to get more shoes for V4/A4 overall. Something preferably free. You can send me some pay links.

Also, if there's a way to make heels thicker or have an attachment or something for the shoes, that would be great.
I'd like the shoes to be non-props and "fit" v4/A4.

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have headkase's "Sensible Shoes" and "Bossy Boots" yet? They're flat-soled, no high-heels at all...

You might want to take a look at the shoes in elleque's Black Cat for V4.

The metal and strap parts can be hidden if you prefer a plainer shoe:

Thanks very much! These are exactly the type of heels I'm looking for.
Are there any more? Boots or pumps? If there is any easy way of morphing existing pencil heeled shoes to make them thicker, that would also be a huge help too.

Glad that helped. I don't think I've ever seen a morphing heel on a pair of shoes or boots, but maybe someone else has.

I have quite a few freebie outfits for V4, but most of the shoes have the thin and pointy heels. The boots for Sanbie's Winter Time V4 have chunky heels:

    http://www.pfddelights.com/index.php?topic=35.msg402#msg402

And some of the boots in MamoMamo's V4/A4 freebies also have more practical heels:

    http://mamomamo.candypop.jp/Freestuff/CCP002.html

For purchased shoes, a couple of vendors here at DAZ have produced a few chunkier-heeled shoes and boots:

    http://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=idler168
    http://www.daz3d.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=dx30

Esha over at RDNA has a couple nice sandal sets:

    http://www.runtimedna.com/Shoe-Mix-CD-for-V4.html
    http://www.runtimedna.com/Shoe-Mix-AB-for-V4.html

Finally, 9mbi has a ton of V4 shoes, and they are all very inexpensive -- usually a couple of dollars. The site isn't being maintained any longer, but I purchased some shoes last year and didn't have any trouble with the order or downloading my purchase. But buyer beware and all:

On the shoe topic, both of these artists have shoe options that fit your requirements. They are contained within outfit sets not just shoes and you will have to look through the pictures to see what the shoes look like.

Thanks everyone. I managed to pick up the free heels and shoes and will be
considering purchasing the other ones later. If any of you can actually make thick heels to attach onto the thin heeled shoes,
that would be amazing. I know it's asking too much, but someone can take this idea as a challenge.

    Thanks again!

Only ones I know of are these, probably a different person though.

There are various packs that contain glass shaders, but aren't dedicated to only glass.

    NeilV’s glass formula (2nd post): http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/3632/

Btw, all of the old *forumarchive* links do work, you just have to sit a minute and let them load. Also, anything that says forum.daz3d.com can be changed to forumarchive.daz3d.com and it will work. Same goes for old postimage links.

Unfortunately, the download link in the old forum doesn't work anyways.

You are correct they are different people. Questor used to be a brokered artist many moons ago for DAZ. If you got any of the old freebies from the archives here at DAZ before the big change then you would have seen some of his work. He did get back to me so he will be offering limited time funstuff here in the near future, so you may want to book mark his blog. He did say that he was going to bring back DrinkNGlass shaders if you don't have them I highly recommend getting them. His glass shader is like having lead glass and I used the ice shader to make diamonds.
