I need a hair clippings prop...the render I'm putting together would be a close-up of hair clippings on the floor next to the antagonist's feet (he's cutting his own hair to change his appearance). I couldn't find any in the Daz or Renderosity marketplaces, perhaps "hair clippings" is the wrong term? Does such a prop exist for Daz Studio?
Thanks!

My first thought you was asking for 'hair clipping prop' I thought of scissers.
But is it something like this you are after https://external-content.duckduckgo.com/iu/?u=https://images.fineartamerica.com/images-medium-large-5/cutted-brown-hair-matthias-hauser.jpg&f=1&nofb=1
If that, I would suggest to fine an image you like, and take it into an image editing program, and create a black-amd-white mask for cut-out oppacita, a grayscale image you can use in bump (or convert it to a normal map).
Then create a primitive plane, scale as wanted, and add the created images. The original image shall be used in base colour. And ajust glossyness and roughness to your liking.
Another way might be to take a few plane primitives sized 3cm square, put them on the floor & apply a hair shader. To get the apparent trimmings, then scale the shader using the tiling feature to something like 0.1 in the horizontal and vertical directions. Then offset the origin in the vertical direction to get the tips visible in the plane. You can make a temporary hair shader from the hair model used on the character by selecting one surface and doing File| Save As| Shader Preset.
Hope that helps a bit.

Richard
