Is there a plain english tutorial somewhere that can explain the Uber shaders for Iray? Waaaaayy too much gloss and not much shading. Especially the skin. Also, anywhere I could get settings for skin?

Question 1: Haven't seen one yet.
As for the Gloosy, the Iray Ueber shader just "transforms" the settings from the original into something Ireay can understand. The transfer doesn't always go perfectly. Shader, for example, don't translatre at all.
For the Glossy part, I'd recommend turning up "Glossy Refraction" to somewhere around .6 or even higher.
Question 2: Try this one here: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/54239/

EDIT: Have you tried applying the G2 Iray skin shaders?

The included Iray skin shaders are actually material presets specifically for G2F and G2M. They can be found from the Content Library pane in DAZ Studio Formats / [your content library] / People / [Genesis 2 Female or Genesis 2 Male] / Materials / Iray. They will need to be applied to their respective figure then using the Surface pane select a skin surface and save a shader preset. Delete the Genesis 2 and load and select your preferred figure, again in the Surface pane select all the skin surface. Apply the saved preset by holding Ctrl and double clicking the preset, a pop-up will offer the options to Replace or Ignore textures, switch to Ignore and Accept.

Excellent, thanks! That works. I know have a baseline to work from where I can begin to understand what these settings do.
