Daz not working

I'm having trouble with Daz and the content in it. I know I have everything in its proper place, but the Poser stuff I put into the directory I can't find, and the Genesis files I have keep saying that they're missing files, so all I get are a human-shape set of blocks. Can someone help me with this?

So this is DAZ Studio? It sounds as if you do not have things in quite the proper place - did you isntall manually or using the Isntall manager, and are you using the default location (My DAZ 3D Library in the Public/Shared Documents folder) or another location?
I've got the main program in my c: directory, and my content library in my D: directory. Also, most of the files I have are manual install, so yeah...
Reinstalling the files for the main Daz content seems to have solved the issue with the blocks, but I still can't find any of the Poser files I put into the directory.
There is a folder called Runtime in your DAZ Studio library folder, all of the Poser content is installed there.
To find it, go to the Content Library pane, Poser Formats > My DAZ 3D Library > Figures/Props/Poses etc.
You also have to have that library folder listed in Edit > Preferences > Content Library > Content Directory Manager as both a Poser Formats and a DAZ Studio Formats folder (without Runtime on the end)
That's not working, because my content has to be in the D: directory, and My Daz 3D Library goes to the C: Drive.
You can set any path you like for your content in DIM (DAZ Install Manager), is that what you are using?
Click on the Gear icon at the top right of the UI inside DIM, then select the 'Installation' tab.
At the bottom of that tab, there is a large Plus sign '+' Click on that, and enter the path you want for your content. You can't change the original one, but you can add as many other paths as you need.
Just make sure that DIM is set to install there by clicking on the 'Show Details' box, and changing it to your new path.
That is where you edit/add content folders...
You have to tell Studio to use the folders on your D drive, by adding them. It won't find them on it's own.
You can also add a new content directory by right-clicking on the appropriate Formats heading in the Content Library pane (DAZ Studio Formats, Poser Formats, Other Import Formats) and choosing the Add ... Directory command from the menu. Remember that you want to select the folder that holds the Runtime and (if there is one) Data folders.
