These sales are so poorly executed

So, there is a deal where some items can be bought at 73% off if you put enough items in your cart and another where the price is 70% off for one item with the coupon. However, if you have one of those 73% off items in your cart, the price goes up to 70% off! Totally awesome!

Management of the dynamics of temporary DAZ site modifications, has been frequently unimpressive.   I think it also correlates to their historical problems with understanding the concept of timezones.indecision

The coupon applies to the first item in your cart that it could be applied to. And the selection of items you could apply the coupon to has overlaps with about every other selection of discounts we have today.

So, the trick is to add the item for which you want the coupon to apply first. (preferably one with only a 51% discount, I think that's as low as it gets. If you have the Daz Store browser add-on, you can order by %-off, and then scroll to the bottom of the list)
After that, add the rest of your cart.

If you have the budget to spare, consider buying a $200 giftcard first, with todays' discount, that would cost you "only" $160, and you can combine that purchase with the other coupon we have today, for 78% off any 1 Select Daz Original. (again, order by %-off and start looking from the bottom if you want to maximize the discount)

The problem with todays' coupons is, that their discount does not stack with other discounts. So yes, for some products, you better not use that code.

Yeah, I assumed that's how it works, but that's just dumb. As a programmer, stuff like that really annoys me.

And, as for the gift card...I got a big one a couple of days back...15% instead of 20...which really sucks...but it is what it is.

Thanks for figuring out the trick (adding the item you want to discount with coupon first), helped me a lot. Yeah it's annoying, but overall I think the sales right now are pretty good!

As a former programmer, I completely agree wink

At least that old job helps me figure out how software (like this store) really works.

Yep, here too.  It helps to have been backstage for years to understand how the show is likely to function.  Ergonomics, efficiency, logic.  EEL.yes  But then you run into the DMV driver's licence application app.crying

I received multiple emails generated by ATI showing items at great discount rates, but when I click on the link to the store, the items are substantially higher. I haven't had that happen before.

This used to happen a lot. Some programming glitch sets a bunch of prices much lower than they were supposed to be at the time of store turn over. Then they spend the next several hours correcting it. If you happen to catch them before the fix you're in luck.

My cart just went up by 200 dollars for no reason. I'm so tired of these on the fly changes

Ditto. Was trimming a few things and jumped from 50-ish to 160-ish.

Anyone working there is, by definition, professional; that doesn't necessarily mean they're any good at it.

Professionals get paid; amateurs do it because they love it. It's only in the last century or so that professionals started to be seen as superior.

But... does it really count as being paid if what they get is a bowl of gruel and a spot on the floor to sleep in?

Have you looked at housing prices lately?

...I think they forgot that the "Memorial-Day" Flash Sale coupon was supposed to expire at 21:59 (20:59 where I am) as the 80% coupon was still valid an hour afterwards.

    Win.

Not by everyone. Professionals often do stuff that aren't good or even too interested in, because for too many it's just about the money. People who do it for free usually do it because they want to and they love what they do, so even when they aren't as skilled, their work often turns out better due to more love invested.

For quality might differentiate the "professionals"/"doing it for love workers" further into "trained.." and "untrained.." with the intermetiate category of "self taught.." as people doing stuff that they got trained for should (!) usually do it better than untrained ones, with the self taught ones being caught in the middle, depending how their self-teaching process went.
