G2 Shoes on G8 figure

How might I correct this?  I've a G2 wardrobe costume that I can get everything to work on G8 except the shoes. I've tried both converting with the script & just auto-converting, but this as close as it gets.  The movement with the character are correct, just the position is off.

I think highheeled shoes are very hard to fit to another generation.

That looks as if the shoes are emant to be used with a morph that puts the foot into the high-heeled shape, I can't recall if Genssi 8 has one - if it does you would need to either turn off AutoFollow in the Parameter Settings dialogue (gear icon on the slider) or if it was needed (e.g. for tights) then zero it on the shoes.

I'll take a look at the Auto Follower & see if there are parameters.

next to impossible in my experience. I don't even mess with it it anymore and stick to shoes made for that figure.

I ... kinda gave up on them.  Just wasn't having it at all as some have mentioned.

I'm finding other issues with the wardrobe that I normally don't encounter as well. I got them to work but wow, what a slog.  Fortunately more of a "can I do this, with that" than anything.

I could probably to some cheats to get them to work (I export to another app), but I like my substitute shoes a bit better actually

There is a useful tuto by sickleyield. https://www.deviantart.com/sickleyield/art/A-Reminder-on-Autofitting-Shoes-to-Genesis-2-or-3-412985230

It is for older generation, but I had some success by adapting it to g8. Basically, the idea is to fit the shoes by moving the g8 bones and to use "transfer rigging". TBH, I only had "some" success (including a couple of high heels), but most of the time it does not fully work.

I also bookmarked a tuto with a différent method.

Truth be told, I never tried this method: It is more complex and I find generally it faster to search my library for another pair of shoes!

I haven't tried it either but good to have for reference.
