Daz won't take credit card

I tried to buy something and even though I put down the right address and right credit card information, I keep getting "There was an error processing this request.". What's going on?

I had that with one of my 2 CC.

One did not want me to buy at Daz3 and I got the same message as you, the other one did.

You might want to contact the CC company.

  • When you said CC, did you mean credit card?

Most likely... though I usually abbreviate Clown Car or Chimpanzee Collaborators as "CC" too... but I make more frequent use of those terms than most people.

I do know things recently changed with Visa cards here in the UK... now only Visa Debit cards work for UK customers and Visa Credit cards no longer work for UK customers - not just here but anywhere - so it might be worth double-checking that it's not a change with your credit card company that's causing an issue.

I think this issue had appeared before and the solution was to make sure the address DAZ has listed for you is the same address your credit card company has listed.

  • I tried using my previous addresses and that didn't work.

I have that happen several months ago. The problem was not my card but something on DAZ's end. I had to open up a trouble ticket and they had to manual do a reset and push it through. Took about a week for them to fix it and I lost out on some good sales. Since then, I pre-buy gift cards for myself so I don't lose out on sales.

  • Can I do a reset myself or do they have to?

I just used my Visa Credit card from the UK to purchase something so it can't be that.....

Did you delete the address from the account, rather than editing it?
Edited address didn't work for me when this happened a while back, but deleting it and entering a new one did

  • I brought them back.

I deleted my address and entered a new one and it still didn't work.

Have you opened a Sales Support ticket?

  • I will now.

They have to do the reset. Your number is stuck in the verification step. They have to pull it out and it will start working again.

Mine didn't go through as I asked my bank to stop payment on both failed transactions at DAZ that I saw pending in my bank. They did and so today I used PayPal to use that debit card instead & that worked correctly.
