Copying a pose from a G8 to G3 character

This is a newbie question despite dabbling with Daz for years!

Can a G8 pose be copied into a G3? 

If so. how, or what is the best way to attempt the transformation?

There are poses converters available. Most commercial pose converter work from g3 to g8 (and not the opposite as you want), but there are some free assets: you apply the g8 pose to the g3 char and you use sliders to make the required pose adjustements.
