Hey Everybody!
So here it is... I have a RTX 2070 with 8Gb VRAM( not the super) and been thinking of getting a RTX 3060 with 12Gb, I know the overall
performance gonna be about the same. But the extra 4Gbs of vram gonna allow me bigger scenes before droping to CPU.
Any toughts if its worth it? Because that much VRAM normaly is restricted to the top end stuff, and im afraid that model may vanish for ever pretty soon.
And in case any of you have the RTX 3060 (1click OC) from GALAX is it good?
(been a EVGA fan since the GT9500 lol)

Just a few weeks ago I changed my Asus 2070 Super to an Asus 3060 because 8GB's was getting too restrictive, the 3060 is rendering in about the same time as the 2070 Super was, but now I don't have to worry about running out of VRAM.
Have been happy with the 3060
I think you mean "but for now I don't have to worry about running out of VRAM"
Thanks for the ansewers guys!
Already ordered the card! Yeah I´m pretty sure gonna take about 10mins with the new card to start trying stuff that gonna max out those 12Gbs lol
If you have space in your computer and a strong enough PSU, I'd recommend keeping the 2070 in your computer as well. That way, you'll benefit from both cards on scenes that fit onto the 2070.
Tought about doing that, but im not really sure if my PSU would be ok with that, and since my case is not that big
chances are I would end up with the cards grasping for air lol
