WetFX Decal & Shader Kit

I'm fairly new to Daz3D and I'm trying to use WetFX Decal & Shader Kit but no matter what I do when I render (Iray) none of the wetfx stuff shows up at all.
(Moreover, if I switch the 'viewport' to Iray, it doesn't render ANYTHING, it stays gray, like it's crashing.)
Am I doing something wrong or does this "WetFX Decal & Shader Kit" product not work?

Which version of Daz Studio is this (Help>About Daz Studio)?
I don't own the product you are trying to use, so I can't give specific instructions for that product. Are you having trouble with the decals or the shaders or both?
Iray decals are kind of tricky. Here are some basic decal requirements: For a decal to show up on an object, the decal must be parented to that object in the Scene pane hierarchy. The decal bounding box must be large enough and properly positioned to intersect with the object that the decal is supposed to show up on. The decal must be properly oriented to "project" onto the object.
I'm using 4.20.0.17
Barbult, it sounds like maybe I"m just not using it properly. What I've tried so far nothing shows up with it in the render and if I change the viewport to iray (just to see) it doesn't even get beyond the initial grayscale rendering (it's like the render thread is crashing).
Can you (or someone else) point me to a newbie guide to using decals?
There are several tutorials available. Just use Google to search for Daz Iray Decal Tutorial. Here is a video from Jay Versluis (WP Guru).
I showed someone else how to use decals before; the secret is that the decal should be positioned so that it grazes the body. Read this: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/571336/tatt-s-all-folks-placement-issue
...I've used this particular product many times. It is best to set the viewport to Iray View Mode, which make it easy to do adjustments while avoiding having to do multiple test renders. After selecting the desired effect, apply one of the colour mats provided to position and scale the decal properly once in place go back and apply the wet map.
Also keep in mind there is a "front" and "rear" face for the bounding box that is on by default. You can turn off the one you don't need.
