How to reinstall Daz from my backed-up ZIP?

Hi

1. I am running Daz Studio 4.16, and I do NOT want 4.20

2. I am using DIM on Mac Mojave

3. I do have all the older ZIP / DSX files backed up.

Question 1:

How do I reinstall Daz Studio 4.16 ? Where excatly do I need to copy the ZIP / DSX so that DIM recoginises it, instead of Daz 4.20

Question 2:

How about the content library / plugins etc.? Will they be preserved during this process or they all need to be reinstalled?

Reason for resintall:

- Out of nowhere, I got the "Unable to render. No rendered available" error. It happened when I woke up (when I went to sleep all was fine). It's insane that something like this can just happen. I tried rebooting etc., checking the advanced tab in Render, but nothing works.

Thanks

Make sure Install manager is offline, copy (in case of accidents) the zips for the aplication and plug-ins to the Downloads folder, and rfresh the DIM list (without going online). The older versions should appear in the Ready To Instal tab.

  • Well, knowing the above would have saved me a lot of trouble. I can't seem to find it documented anywhere else.
