Do I need a shader or a setting?

Okay, I feel like an idiot, but I am pretty sure there is/was a way to render in what is basically line work? Like cartoony or otherwise, color or otherwise? I don't know if I am describing that right. I am almost certain there was a way to do that but I can't, for the life of me, remember how. Is it a shader I need to buy? Or a freebie? Or a setting? Maybe a plugin? I'm going crazy at this point. Can someone please help me figure this out? Thanks so much

There are products in the store that provide line art options but Daz Studio has a built in cartoon rendering option that is hidden by default.
Go into render settings tab and click show hidden properties and the option shows up as a rendering STYLE option. It works as a 3delight rendering option and 3DL lighting.
You could set the viewport to "Cartoon Shaded" and then on the Render Settings pane set the engine to "viewport" to get something similar to what you are asking for.
People also do make cartoon shaders for Iray, which, while I haven't used them, would probably provide a better look as you could do more with the shader settings and the lighting would likely be better.
Oooh, thank you both! I will try setting and go look at the shaders.
Here is a tutorial posted in the DAZ Blog:

Thanks so much, that is very useful.
