Shark Tail bummer!

The Shark Tail looked very very interesting, would've been an instant buy - until I realized it lacked a male version. Which instead made it another pass.

This is a rare case where the male version far preceded the female version.

Yes, the male version was released quite a while ago too. :) Thanks for linking it, @PaulaDegg.

Since @FenixPhoenix didn't make a commercial thread for this, here it goes:

    Ocean Madness

They are pretty good at making products for males and females:

LOVE IT! Thanks for sharing and for buying our Shark Tail, @Gordig! I should really start an official thread. I wanted to start one today, but I just wouldn't have been around almost the entire day (so I wouldn't have been able to check it until late at night like I'm doing now). BUT I'll probably start one tomorrow. I just need to work on some bonus presets for those who bought Soft Skin Transitions and this product. With those presets, users should be able to use the shark tail and it's add-on transitions as Soft Skin Transition presets. I'll also do the same for the guys. So those interested in getting them should keep a lookout for the thread :).

Wow, love how he came out! The guy is gorgeous! Is he a spin dial? Thank you very much for your purchase, the nice words and for sharing the render! <3

I thought this thread was going to be about the posterior of the shark tail and whether the gastric system terminates there or in front like a fish cheeky

Bum meaning that part down here

    I am still wondering though

To be honest, I almost didn't for the same reason I haven't bought the male tail yet: the promos leaned too heavily on the tattoos, which I'm not interested in. If you'd shown off the non-tattooed version of the male tail more, I might have picked that up, and I'll have to look at it again to see if does have untattooed options.

Thanks for pointing this out I never saw it

@Gordig,yes the male tail also has un tattooed presets as shown here and it also has intensity presets for both the tattoo and the scars.

This promo shows the icons related to the tattoo presets, and there is one without the tattoo:

    Both these products look amazing!

I would have bought both of them, but the anatomy is off to me.  I know it's a fictional creature, but it just looks like a shark's face was chopped off.  If the dorsal fin (a shark's large, top fin) was on the mid-to-upper back and the pectoral fins (a shark's front, side fins) weren't there, this would have been an instant buy.

Other than that, it's fantastically made!

Thank you, I do understand where you're coming from. Esid and I knew it was a risk to go with this design choice. At the time the male Shark Tail came out we were all getting ready for the Zale/Coral release, so we wanted to do something way different to avoid ending up with a similar design to another PA. As it happened, Raw released his Sharkman like a week before or so, just as we had submitted our product into the store. So in that regard, we were happy we opted for this more stylized design (which was inspired by a number of different merman artworks we saw online, that showed a much longer body/tail than the typical mermaid tail).

BTW, we have created the official commercial thread were we'll share the additional presets (to use with the Soft Skin Transition products) we talked about once we are done with them: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/572071/shark-tail-for-g8-8-1-commercial#latest

You and Esid are wonderfully talented artists!  While I passed on these products, I am happy to say I have over a dozen of your other ones!

Thank you for bringing high quality stuff to the market!

That's how centaurs work, and really normal mermaids as well, especially Coral.

Aww thank you very much for the support! We are happy to be doing what we love and enjoy the freedom to explore creating different products (regardless of whether they are a hit or miss, we always learn something with each product and strive to apply that knowledge on the subsequent ones). :)

Oh, never thought about the centaur working like that as well, but you are absolutely right!

And that's the reason why I didn't buy the centaurs, either.  smiley  However, they are mythologically accurate.

As for Coral (and mermaids in general), they are just vaguely aquatic animals.
